Pros: Partitioned disk into two NTFS sections for Win7 and one ext4 section for linux. Ended up with about 150GB usable out of 160GB.
linux Mint 14 loaded and runs fine. Dual boots Win7 and linux.
Upgraded memory to 8 GB and both Win7 and linux recognize it. Everything works, including wireless lan, except fingerprint reader. USB mouse works along with touchpad.
Cons: Even from the BIOS, cannot boot dvd. It recognizes and accepts the boot, but will not carry through. Will not change from f12 either. I had to install grub in the hidden partition to allow dvd boot. It also installed in the main partition with the install so there are two boot sections. No big deal, but a bit messy. Both opsys work fine.
No fingerprint reader in either Win7 or Mint.
Other Thoughts: Arrived in good condition but with a less than stellar box. With the upgrade in memory, I now have a fine laptop for a reasonable price. Total cost about US$385. Nice. I would do it again if I could be asssured of the same quality.READ FULL REVIEW
