MSI N680GTX TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 680 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: - Super quiet and can run everything on highest settings

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: This may be overkill for a single 23" monitor I have currently, but it's nice to know the power is there and it is much quieter than less powerful cards.

Intel Core i3-3220T Ivy Bridge Dual-Core 2.8GHz LGA 1155 35W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2500 BX80637i33220T
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: - Low Power
- Able to handle HD cable tuner (Ceton InfiniTV) and display in 1080p
- Can keep it fairly quiet and cool using a Noctua cooler

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Using in a Win7 Media Center. At first I regretted not getting the i3-3225 which comes with the HD-4000 Intel graphics core. However, I have so far found this sufficient for my media center.

Noctua NH-L12 120mm & 92mm SSO Bearing PWM Fans CPU Cooler

5 out of 5 eggs Great Cooler, Best Mounting Experience of Any! 09/30/2012

This review is from: Noctua NH-L12 120mm & 92mm SSO Bearing PWM Fans CPU Cooler

Pros: - By far the easiest mounting solution of any CPU cooler I have seen. I have bought two of these now just for ease of installation.
- It's very quiet even with both fans

Cons: - Clearance difficult depending on the RAM you are using and orientation (go for shorter RAM if possible)

Other Thoughts: I am using for 2 lower clocked Ivy Bridge CPUs (i3-3220T-35W and i5-3450) and it cools sufficiently. That said, not overclocking either as I don't really need that much CPU.
