Pros: I am presently running (2) kits of KHX6400D2ULK2/2G
(total of 4G) on my Asus Maximus Formula board. I recently upgraded from XP to Win 7 Ultimate (64bit) so I am going to get the KHX6400D2LLK4/8G kit to upgrade to (8G) of Ram.
Cons: For those having problems or those that mentioned they had to manually tweek bios (i.e. Voltages & Timmings) read the factory Specs. Kingston Data Sheet Reads as Follows: DESCRIPTION
Kingston’s KHX6400D2LLK4/8G is a kit of four low-latency
256M x 64-bit 2GB (2048MB) DDR2-800 CL4 SDRAM
(Synchronous DRAM) memory modules, based on sixteen
128M x 8-bit DDR2 FBGA components per module. Total kit
capacity is 8GB (8192MB). Each module kit has been tested
to run at DDR2 800MHz at low latency timing of 4-4-4-12
at 1.95V. The SPDs are programmed to JEDEC standard
latency 667Mhz timing of 5-5-5-15 at 1.8V.
Other Thoughts: Go to Bios set frequency to 800Mhz, timings to 4,4,4,12 & voltage to 1.95v and you will be fine.
