5 out of 5 eggs it's not intel, but who cares it's $99 12/03/2015

This review is from: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5 GHz (4.1 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W FD6300WMHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: Very cheap, got mine for $99 and right now it's $89. Honestly that is a stupid low price for a 6 core.
With a good cpu cooler it runs cool. Stock cooler worked well for me, but i replaced it with a Noctua NH U12s and my temps are under 120F under heavy load, which is really good

Cons: Many people are saying it runs hot, and while mine did it was because of my cpu cooler (before my noctua). Make sure your case fans are logically set up, and you have good airflow that will help a lot.
Not as fast as intel as far as benchmarks go, but for this low of a price who cares. You really don't notice the performance difference anyways.
Power usage is not as bad as people claim it to be

Other Thoughts: Over clocks very well, I have no need to since it is fast enough as is.
it over clocks automatically to 3.8 ghz while gaming. it even hits 4.1ghz on a regular basis.

ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB 950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: After owning this MB for almost a year everything is still running strong.
It runs cool and matches my blue G Skill Ares ram perfectly

Cons: As some others have mentioned it is slightly smaller than ATX so using your hands to support the underside when plugging in the 24 Pin power connector, and when adding ram is recommended.
There also is a back plate alignment problem, look it up on google for some good pictures. It does not affect functionality, just looks weird with everything not lined up right.

Other Thoughts: Still a great MB both price and feature wise

Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm Case Fan

5 out of 5 eggs Very happy 09/13/2014

This review is from: Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm Case Fan

Pros: Im using this as a replacement for my fractal design 140mm fan that came with the case (used as a exhaust) and so far it works great. It is just as quiet moves more air and is much better quality than the Fractal Fan, the blades were really wobbly and unbalanced btw. Another plus is that it is PWM which is nice to have.

Cons: I would say color and price but i can easily overlook it i won't be seeing the fan anyways.

Other Thoughts: This is my first experience with Noctua and i am very happy. Now i know why they get such good reviews.
