This review is from: TRENDnet TEG-S80G Unmanaged 8-Port Gigabit GREENnet Switch
Pros: great switches, if you can find the older design with mounting holes and leds that indicate the 10/100/1000 connection speed.
Cons: they changed the design, removing the mounting holes and the speed indicating leds AND KEPT THE SAME MODEL NUMBER!
Other Thoughts: I have deployed just under 500 of these (the older design) in residential apartments and condos. When the time came for the next building after construction was completed, I immediately went and purchased another 155 of these thinking they were the same model (because the model number was in fact the same). Unfortunately, we had to eat the shipping cost and send them all back. I was able to source enough older ones through misc vendors to get this job done, but the next project will force us into another product. It's too bad companies feel the need to change the products in this manner. I'd be willing to pay a little more if it's a matter of manufacturing cost, rather than lose the wall mounting and speed indication capability. Silliness...READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS USB-BT400 USB 2.0 Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter
Pros: works, all the features, all the time. the coverage footprint is even bigger than I thought it would be. it's always over-exaggerated in the specs, just like wifi...
Cons: the sale ended before I could get another one...
Other Thoughts: skip the included software (that's usually sound advice for most computer and related devices). go directly to Broadcom (the actual chip designer) and get the latest software / drivers and roll that beautiful bean footage.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: cheap with rebate (~ $35.)
Nvidia based, great driver support
low power consumption
while not the end all of video cards by any means, it allows my XP64 Core 2 Quad Q6700 4GB system to run RealFlight (G4.5) at 'highest' settings @ 1280x800 and get 60fps no problem, which is why I took the chance and bought it...
included Call of Duty 4
Cons: it wasn't free, maybe?
Other Thoughts: I usually don't review products, however at the time I purchased this, most of the reviews were fairly negative and I felt I needed to help balance out some of those comments considering my personal experience.
I'm running driver version 266.58 on the above mentioned system and have had absolutely no stability, thermal, noise, power or any other problems as mentioned in some previous reviews. FWIW... YMMV...
