Pros: - Good, clear sound quality. I could really feel the bass. - Sleek, stylish appearance. - Comes with a sturdy carry case. - Beautifully packaged.
Cons: - Extremely uncomfortable; the earcups are way too small. - The audio cable is short. - The audio cable has three little buttons on it, the purpose of which are not explained nor shown in the product manual or on the Newegg listing (unless I missed it).
Overall Review: It's a huge shame that these headphones are so uncomfortable to wear. I'm no expert audio person by any means, but I think that the engineering at work is solidthe headphones sound good, they look good, and they feel good in hand ... But then I put them on. I did a little reading about these particular headphones and saw a complaint in a review that the earcups are small. I decided to give them a try anyway because my ears are pretty small so they might fit me just fine. They don't. They sit directly on top of my ears and it doesn't feel good. Several times I tried slightly adjusting the earcups' positioning to find the most comfortable place for them to rest, but there was simply nowhere they could go that wasn't distractingly uncomfortable. I didn't last even an hour before I packed them back up and returned them. I prefer headphones with thick, cushioned earcups that completely surround my ears without putting pressure on themthose are headphones I can wear for hours at a time without any discomfort. If you feel similarly, these are not the headphones for you. That being said, if headphones with this style of fit don't bother you, I think you'll enjoy the sound quality. I would be more than happy to give 1MORE another try if they designed a pair of headphones of this standard with the type of earcups I find most comfortable. My other gripes with these headphones are much more minor. I think the audio cable is a little too shortI was using the headphones with my PC which sits raised slightly off the floor about a foot and a half away from me while I'm in my desk chair. The cable wasn't going to provide much slack if I wanted to move around a little without taking the headphones off first. Not a deal-breaker, just mildly inconvenient. My second issue might be more of a "me" problem, but the audio cable has a little panel with three blank buttons on it and I couldn't figure out what they were for. They did not control volume, at least not on my PC. I didn't try them on my phonemaybe that's what they're for. I just found it strange that I can't see these buttons on any of the product photos in the Newegg listing and didn't notice anything about them in the product manual. The panel has a tiny hole on the back which leads me to believe it's a microphone, but no microphone function is mentioned. I'm stumped by it, but that's just me. tl;dr: These headphones sound good but the earcups are way too small to fit comfortably.
