Pros: Came with a low-profile PCI bracket, which was not advertised in the description or seen in the pictures.
Cons: Did NOT come with a drivers CD, which WAS advertised in the description.
Other Thoughts: I bought this specific card because the specifications stated that it works with Win98 and includes a drivers CD. The included manual states that you must download the drivers from a website, so it is clear that a driver CD was never intended to be included. I'm planning to use this card in an offline Win98 PC, so I was looking forward to having the drivers CD instead of having to download the drivers manually and transfer them to the Win98 PC.
This card DOES include a low-profile PCI bracket. This was not advertised in the product details, but would have been useful to know.

Pros: - Multiple reviews here are confused about the math. PCI-E v2.0 has 500MBytes/sec per lane -- thats 4Gbits/lane. Thus, an x8 card can carry 64Gbits/sec, in principle -- enough to not be a bottleneck for the 40Gbit/sec infiniband or 10Gbit/sec ethernet.
Cons: - Wikipedia covers PCI-E v2 speeds & feeds. - Disclaimer: I do not own this card; I have worked as professional Linux kernel programmer on PCI-E devices.

Pros: -Reliable and consistent. -Nice sleek set of options. 4 RSS Queues? Oh yes. -Better than your on board Realtek guaranteed. -Small Form Factor. Smaller than Intel Gigabit CT
Cons: -Price -No IPv4 Offload? See Other
Other Thoughts: For the average joe this is more costly than it's worth, however purchased this mainly for gaming. Based on the Intel Product sheet this NIC offers some form of IPv4 offloading (unless I can't read.) Tried many methods to enable it, even got Microsoft assistance, but to no avail. No egg knocked as it might be user error.
