Pros: Dual core. Fast for a netbook. Installed ADATA 4GB memory and 256GB SSD loaded with Windows 7 Pro 32bit all from Newegg. The System window says 2.99GB of memory is usable. Boots so fast the colored balls on the start screen never show. A YouTube video shows how to open and replace memory and HDD. Supplied HDD is actually 320GB. Mine was Western Digital, the video showed a Toshiba.
Cons: Small, Chiclet keyboard, no optical drive, more difficult to get to hard drive and memory than laptops, disappearing fast.
Other Thoughts: Best used as a PC for trips. Small size fits easily in my camera backpack. Need a real PC for downloading and viewing photos, printing boarding passes and using internet. Not available on most websites. A shame, this netbook shows the concept was just starting to develop.

Pros: Laptop('s) works great, has for 6months so far.. Successfully upgraded all 3x units from 8.1 to 10 and have been running 10 since day1
Cons: (WARRANTY REPLACED) All 3x ac adapters failed on me after 2months, 4months, & the final one went out just yesterday.. (contacted asus support 7/18)
Other Thoughts: Purchased these for my kids and it worked great for their needs until the ac adapters went out.. and still the laptops themselves i cant really find a complaint on, just not good ac adapters.
UPDATE 7/19 > RMA accepted on ac adapter exchange (x3) via asus support UPDATE 8/4> got 3x new ac adapters in and back up, looks to be a slightly varied model from the original so hopefully no more issues

Pros: I purchased one of these off Newegg in 2011...After owning the older atom 1.66GHz 1001p DDR2 model I had to upgrade to the Newer Atom with HyperThreading and DDR3. I purchased a 2GB SODIMM and a 180GB Intel 335 SSD and let me tell you the performance is amazing for this system. 1080p movies over VGA on a 50" LED TV play with no issues what so ever. System has never lost a beat. 1.5GHz Atom with Hyperthreading runs like a Quad Core in Windows...it's the best part about this Netbook also the Battery has lasted 3 years and Holds a great charge.
Cons: 2GB MAX...not sure why but that is the only Con if any. Not a big issue though.
Other Thoughts: I have a bad temper, actually Punched through the LED Display and then smashed it on the ground and stomped it one good time due to Work related stress (Customer Support). Only thing left was the Motherboard. I totally rebuilt it with used parts and I still use it to this day. Lol

Pros: Bought this at Thanksgiving 2009, upgraded to 4 Gb ram, it has gone everywhere since. Used occasionally at home when my wife's main PC was down, but mostly on our many cross country trips. Decent battery life, but in the car it is usually plugged into an inverter. Great for checking email, updating files and checking weather when we stop. Much bigger screen than Kindle or Samsung tablet, and can easily plug in a portable HDD for recorded TV/movies. Now moving on to WIN 10 and I expect it to continue to perform well.
Cons: Only 4 Gb ram possible
Other Thoughts: In the land of PC upgrades, this little beauty has staved off the competition easily. Wish I could say that about soooo many other PC's around here.

Pros: Low power consuption High reliability Built-in UPS
Cons: SD card reader malfunctions (under powered) in BIOS "OS Install Mode" SSD soldered to the motherboard
Other Thoughts: I am not going to put the sum of my 7 years of owning this device into a review now (or ever). In these years, it has been a very portable computer, a diagnostic device, a portable VOIP phone, a dual homed bastion host (USB Ethernet adapter), a print server, and currently a web and proxy server. When it finally dies, I am going to put it in my memory box with a post-it note reading "Here lies Little Laptop". Sigh ...

Pros: Durable and cheap, 6 cell battery meant a good battery life.
Cons: I've repaired many with power jacks that have been displaced through abuse, they could have made it a little more sturdy there.
Other Thoughts: Mine has survived falling from a flight of stairs and other abuse that I wouldn't put an expensive computer through. I've used them in a pinch to do many tech related things, and being so compact and lightweight I had a bag with 3 of them ready to go at any given time. A little slow at times, and the resolution can be a bit small or restrictive if the program wasn't meant to be displayed on anything less than x768 pixels, generally you could work around most diag software, and the form factor made it more than convenient.

Pros: -Small -Cheap -Windows 7 (win 7 starter, but can be fixed. at least its not win 8..) -Upgradable
Cons: -The 250 HDD provided was made by Hitachi, which means it's almost useless.. (so ~ a year of life in it, if lucky) but i had a SSD laying around so i just mirrored it. -Insane amounts a preinstalled fluff-ware (~2 hours of uninstall. seriously, it's like whoever set it up put every waste-of-space software on it. Even the virus of an anti-virus McAfee... Ew...)
Other Thoughts: The price and win7 over win8 make it worth the price. especially if you replace the HDD(with almost any other brand) and add an extra gig of ram.
I'd actually give it ~3.5 eggs (-1 for HDD, -0.5 for fluff-ware)
