Categories > Server Memory > Kingston Technology Corp. > Kingston ValueRAM 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4 2400 RAM (Server Memory) ECC Micron A DIMM (288-Pin) KVR24E17S8/8MA

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 It works
Pros: What can I say? It's RAM and it works. Paired two sticks with a Ryzen 5 1500x on an ASRock AB350M motherboard and no complaints.
Cons: Newegg requires me to type something in this box.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Worked perfectly on SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCL-F-O board
Pros: Installed on SUPERMICRO MBD-X9SCL-F-O LGA 1155 Intel C202 Micro ATX Intel Xeon E3 Server Motherboard and a Xeon Quad-Core E3-1220 v2 CPU. Board requires this kind of ECC ram to function. The setup is flawless and perfectly stable. :) System runs VMware ESXi 5.5 server.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Perfect memory for this board.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Unbuffered ECC that works with Ryzen on proper motherboards
Pros: ECC at a modern speed rating, same price range as most of the 2133 modules, don't buy those.
Confirmed working on asrock x370 boards w/ recent linux kernels.
Cons: Wish ECC was cheaper but memory market is pretty expensive now anyways, 2666 or even faster would be nice too.
Other Thoughts: Unbuffered has no latency penalty except during an error correction
ECC should be required IMO but intel won't have it

Categories > Server Memory > Kingston Technology Corp. > Kingston ValueRAM 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 2133 RAM (Server Memory) ECC DIMM (288-Pin) KVR21E15D8K2/32I (Intel Validated)

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4
Pros: Been using it in a NAS4Free ZFS server for about three months now, no issues. Appears to be solid RAM. Asrock C236 WSI motherboard.
Cons: Seems horribly expensive for what it is (but that's ECC memory in general)...
Other Thoughts: Intel Validated apparently means Intel has certified this RAM to work with Intel banded server motherboards. The way I read it, it's really just saying this RAM on is Intel's QML. In this sense every motherboard maker has RAM that is "Brand X Validated". See https://media.kingston.com/pdfs/Intel_ServiceSupport.pdf

Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2Rating + 2 Not as advertised
Pros: Good price.
Branded Memory for old server.
Cons: Item shipped was not new.
Was advertised as Dell but arrived as HP.
Installed and seemed to work until observing in Dell OpenManage that two of the DIMMs exceeded error rate.
Other Thoughts: I didn't have a problem with this memory being used or HP. However, its advertised as new and Dell memory. Two of the DIMMs seem to have problems. Not sure if I want to go through the hassle of returning the memory and getting what I thought was purchasing.
