Pros: This tape measure is about as good as it gets for the standard tape measure. -The Auto-Lock feature is a huge plus because I can push a button to retract the tape; as opposed to struggle by sliding a thumb-lock on the standard tape measure design. -The tape itself is very durable and can be extended generously before bending/snapping.
Cons: The only negative thing that I can think of is that the tape retracts rather quickly; which requires me to tap the retracting button instead of holding it. However, that is not a significant enough con to tarnish the 5 star rating.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this tapemeasure to anybody in the home-repair/construction field. I used it just the other day to cut sheetrock for a ceiling job.

Pros: About like the last dozen or so that I've owned. Stopped into newly remodeled Wallysworld to buy one, and couldn't find handtools. On a lark, looked in Newegg. A few bucks cheaper, I recon.
Cons: Cons, it is a Stanly power lock. Never let a tapemesure spring shut. The rivets are not designed to take it. Stanly leverlocks, powerlocks and all Lufkins are particularly prone to this problem. Just don't snap it closed.
Other Thoughts: Good tape for the $20 range. Extra 5' adds no weight that I can feel, Bit balky for smaller hands, but it is a 25-30 tape.(25' is the same). This is my first 30' powerlock

Comments: If you spend twice this much you can get the self rewind unit on here. Although hand winding isn't that bad. I broke the one I replaced with this one by stepping on it because I didn't wind it up. So the auto rewind might be worth it.
