Categories > Monitor Accessories > Amer Mounts > Triple articulating Monitor Mount. Supports 3 monitors 15 to 28" each. Spring Loaded arms provide flexibility in movement and monitor orientation. VESA standard

Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1 Absolutely terrable Designe
Pros: Horrible
Each component on its own is solidly built but the way they are put together does not account for leverage.
Cons: From the picture, you may get the idea that you can swing the arms around… you can’t…
Also, note that you need a massive desk as it sticks out a huge distance from the back.
From the picture, you may get the idea that it’s solid… it’s not. While each section of the arm itself is decently solid once assembled with a monitor of any weight on it the outside arms lean immensely. The double extensions on the sides also raise up the side arms putting them at a completely different height than the middle. In a world without gravity this would be a fantastic monitor mount, but once you apply the laws of physics it becomes horrible to work with and impossible to use.
Other Thoughts: I would never buy this every again or recommend it to anyone. I'm also upset new egg won't let me give it 0 stars.

Categories > Monitor Accessories > Ergotron > Ergotron 45-214-026 MX Desk Mount LCD Arm

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Built like a truck, but maybe lacking some mobility
Pros: - Extremely solid construction
- Holds up heavy displays easily
- You could probably bludgeon someone to death with it if you had to and it wouldn't break
Cons: - Even after working it some, it's still a little stiff. Movements aren't exactly effortless, but this could likely go away after breaking it in over a longer period
- Compared to other arms, it does not have the same amount of mobility, BUT other arms aren't built this sturdy
Other Thoughts: I'd recommend if you have a heavy display and you don't want it going anywhere. If you have a "normal" monitor, I'd look elsewhere.

Categories > Monitor Accessories > Ergotech Group, Inc > Ergotech 320-C14-C012 One-Touch Counterbalance Single Monitor Arm (2 links)

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Great Product, Needs better assembly instructions
Pros: The assembled product looks as good as the picture, and holds my 20 lb LCD just fine.
When adjusted, the arm moves smoothly to reposition the display in all three axes and rotation directions.
Cons: 1. The included documentation claims there is a maximum size of monitor supported and a maximum weight limit; only the weight limit actually applies. The product description (as of 2016/01/13) is correct in this aspect.
2. The upper covering of the outer-most arm segment is made of plastic; the inner arm segment is all metal. This may cut down on weight, but it's not mentioned in the product description.
3. Adjusting the screw to set the tension for the tilt (monitor facing downwards or upwards) is tough for a heavy monitor.
Other Thoughts: The assembly instructions assume the user has unconstrained access to mount the arm onto the pole. In my case, the arm is passing through a desk cavity, and the arm can't be at the default maximum height when it is dropped over the pole. After some trial and error, I found the following helped:

1. Reduce the tension on the lifting arm and position it to be straight out. At a low enough tension, it will keep this position for long enough to get the arm onto the pole.
2. There is a plastic bearing inside the socket where the arm meets the pole. It is much easier to place the arm over the pole if you take the plastic out of the arm socket and put it on the pole first. This gives more clearance during the initial alignment.
3. The cap on the pole only makes assembly harder. Remove it, install the arm, then put it back in.

Beyond that, I recommend you look at the directions carefully to adjust the tension on the lifting arm. In my case, it seemed counter-intuitive.

Categories > Monitor Accessories > Ergotron > Ergotron FX30 FX Series FX30 Wall Mount, Black

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 Easy To Install But...
Pros: Easy to install. I used very sturdy wood screws to secure the backplate to a wooden mounting board that is secured to the wall.

Any TV or monitor that you mount to a wall will be very close to the wall. The entire assembled mounting is about 1 inch thick, so you will need slender fingers to get behind the mounted TV/monitor.

The entire mounting is fashioned out of 1/8th inch thick steel. It feels very sturdy and very heavy in your hand.
Cons: The mounting plate that attaches to a TV or monitor VESA mount uses a "swinging latch" to secure the assembly to the backplate. While such a desin is easy to manipulate "blind", the fitting between the VESA mounting plate and the backplate can be described as "fiddly". You have to "snug up" the VESA mounting plate into the backplate before the "swinging latch" will "catch" on the backplate. So 1 egg off for that.
Other Thoughts: You have to supply your own wood screws to secure the backplate to the wall.

Do not use this mounting for a TV or monitor that you want to keep secure since the "swinging latch" has nothing to "lock" the VESA mounting plate to the backplate; you cannot "lock" the mounted TV/monitor to the backplate. That also means constant mounting and unmounting of a TV/monitor might loosen the "swinging latch" over time. Something to consider.

Categories > Monitor Accessories > Amer Mounts > Single Arm Articulating monitor mount. Supports 15 to 28" monitor. VESA mounting Support. Clamp Base

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Versatile
Pros: I got two of these for a pair of monitors instead of a single "dual monitor arm". I was happy with the adjustability, even with a deep desk i only ended up using the main gas part of the white arms. The other white piece that connects the gas arm to the vertical bar is optional. Everything is very adjustable, and they look great.
Cons: I didn't realize the arms had some built in cable management clips which was nice, but they couldn't hold very many cables once i started using them.

Categories > Monitor Accessories > Amer Mounts > Triple Monitor Mount Stand for up to 32 inch Monitors. Also ideal for 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 32 inch monitors.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Quality triple-monitor stand
Pros: The solid build of this unit accommodates a wide array of monitor sizes, including those smaller than 26". As the pictures show, it is surface-mounting with feet, rather than clamp-mounting. Extremely versatile, this stand offers individual monitor height adjustment and full tilt and swivel in both vertical and horizontal configurations. Instructions were clear, and fine-tuning is made easy with quick-release clamps and wheels. The cable guides are useful for line management and aesthetics.
The stand features a black matte powder-coat finish, is packaged very well and arrived promptly.
Put simply, this is the stand you want for your triple-monitor setup.
Cons: It is admittedly a little pricey, but there's no denying the quality of build - definitely worth it.
Other Thoughts: Mind your desk layout, as feet angle/positioning becomes important for monitor weight counterbalance. As another reviewer mentioned, you'll need a minimum of 39" for the feet.
This unit frees up a lot of desk space - so if you're currently using three monitors with individual, native stands, you will be pleasantly surprised at how much better your desk area will look and function with this unit.
Attaching and adjusting three monitors on a single stand can be unwieldy from the combined weight - so be prepared to lift, balance and adjust when first positioning the stand, and then fine-tune positioning afterwards.

Categories > Monitor Accessories > Rosewill > Rosewill RMS-16003 - Dual Monitor Gas Spring Arm Desk Mount, LCD Screens: 13" - 27", VESA: 75/100mm, Tilt: +90/-45 deg., Swivel:180 deg., Rotate:360 deg., Max. Load: 13.2 lbs.(per arm) with 2 USB3.0

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Great mount, not enough mounting screws included
Pros: Very flexible/adjustable, very sturdy, easy to assemble. 2x USB3 ports on the front. Can be mounted via C-clamp or through a grommet hole.
Cons: Only included 4 M4x12 screws and 4 M5x12 screws for mounting the monitors (mine take M4 screws). Also only included 4 washers to go with these screws. Rosewill, you do realize this is a dual monitor stand and not a single one, right? If you intend to mount identical monitors on this stand you'll need to make a separate trip to your hardware store and pick up more screws. Include 8 of each size screw/washer and I'd give it 5 stars.
Also, make instructions easier to understand. Step 6 is not required if mounting via C-clamp (only applicable to grommet mounting according to diagrams), but directions otherwise indicate it's a required step for C-clamp mounting.
Other Thoughts: I just set this up, and I'm looking forward to using it more! Just need to go to the hardware store to get screws to mount the second monitor first.

Categories > Monitor Accessories > Planar > Planar 997-6035-00 Triple Monitor Stand

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Planar 997-6035-00 Triple Monitor Stand
Pros: The monitor stand was very easy to install and mounting all three monitors was piece of cake. All three 23" monitors fit perfectly. Purchased ASUS VS239H-P Black 23" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Monitor 250 cd/m2 ASCR 50,000,000:1, IPS Panel from Newegg. The stand is pretty solid and with the 23" monitors, I still have room to make adjustments if needed.
Cons: I did not find any issues so far.....
Other Thoughts: I purchased a PLANAR 997-5253-00 Dual Stand about 4 years ago from Newegg and it has been prefect without any issues.

I would recommend this product for:
1. Price
2. Quality
