Ordered on 1/05/17 and now (1/13/17) have not received and the product is still in Georgia. Would not recommend for the future.

Rating + 1 A Bad Seller that Does NOT care for the Customer

I ordered 2 sticks of 512MB memory; the ones we received, upon testing, were only 256MB. KomputerBay was contacted and we requested an RMA which they indicated would be sent. Hearing nothing from them, we "online chatted" with NewEgg about the error, and then NewEgg sent them an email requesting they send an RMA to their customer so that the wrong memory sticks could be exchanged, That was back on October 13th, and now, 2 weeks later on October 27th, we have yet to receive an email nor regular mail from KomputerBay; a VERY disappointing experience.

Rating + 1 Advertised Brand-Name Components and Ships Generic and Re-branded Garbage

Placed an order for (2) x 4GB sticks of Hynix Memory and when we received the memory, it looked nothing like Hynix branded memory. The sticks themselves had the Komputer Bay logo sticker on them as well as each memory chip with it etched into the top. The picture in the listing (even though it said picture for illustration purposes only) showed a Hynix stick with Hynix branded sticker and branded chips. Classic case of bait and switch.

Buyer beware of this company.

P.S. I lost a client because of this because he was expecting to to pick up his Macbook today, fully functional with everything promised. I refuse to lie to a client about what I'm installing in their computer.

Rating + 5 Major Computer Manufacturer Gave Wrong Specs for Memory - Komputerbay Made It A-Okay!

When I called my laptop manufacturer's paid tech support to find out what memory modules I needed for an upgrade, they told me what was supposed to be the correct specifications and I purchased the memory from Komputerbay. Then tech support contacted me a day later that they had told me the wrong specifications. Komputerbay allowed me to RMA and send back the unused memory for refund (I never took it out of its packaging) without any issue. And the RMA process was painless and refund quick. Thanks to Komputerbay, I wasn't stuck with memory modules I couldn't use and didn't lose my money because of a computer manufacturer's inaccurate technical support. Will definitely purchase from Komputerbay again when I need memory! 5 Eggs from me!

Rating + 1 Falsely advertised

Their class10 Samsung card does not achieve speeds even close to those advertised. Real Speed in USB 3.0 is around 7 Megs writing and read speed barely hits 20 Megs. Never even hits minimum requirements for a class 10 card. To top it off they charge you a restocking fee when you realize you purchased an item that was purposefully falsely advertised for their convenience.

Rating + 1 Quick sell, awful return

I'll give them an egg for delivering my product in under a week.

Then came the return... My initial question was only if I could exchange the product instead of return it. After not answering that question with any kind of direct response I couldn't get an answer on return processing times. The response came 5 days after my message, asking for a tracking number. That would have been reasonable if the package hadn't been "Delivered" for a week.
