Less than one year old, lamp is already going 12/21/2014 5:13:33 AM
Poor quality lamp, less than one year old I am here looking for another one. Probably worth the money to go to Sony and get an original. The Sony bulb lasted 6 years, this one less than one it is dimming and now takes a minute or so to warm up. I wish there was a rotten egg category because this is what it deserves.

Our end user refused the product after we tried to contact you to let you know it was shipped after they needed it. We are still waiting on credit, after several emails have been sent. We have not received a response.

Received the lamp within days of purchase. Packaging was over the top! No way it could have gotten damaged! and its a genuine Philips lamp!!
Replacing the lamp was easy and my Samsung DLP looks as good as the day I purchased it 7 years ago! I'm very happy. At this price there is NO reason to buy some cheap knockoff lamp that if your lucky will only last 12 months.

Ive tried to contact new egg from the website..nearly impossible to navigate...received our new lamp for our tv..put it in our tv the same day we recieved it....turned on the tv...screen came on and the lamp instantly blew...very disappointed. Unable to find a way to reach someine to get it replaced and a new one sent out. Immediate reaction would be appreciated

I placed an order Aug 6 through Newegg for an OEM DLP bulb LG P/N 6912B22007A. The order was filled by marketplace seller SoCal OEM. Before ordering I called Newegg, spoke with Shanelle, and asked her if infact what I was buying was an OEM bulb. She referred to the webpage description indicating it was the OEM part number as described. The wrong bulb arrived and it's not even close to the original OEM bulb. I called Newegg and was told I had to contact the market place seller which I instructed the Newegg representative to do as I bought it from Newegg. He tells me it will take 7-10 business days to get a response on a return request!! I was then asked if there was anything else the Newegg representative could do for me! You've got to be kidding.

Item description said it was a "Philips" bulb, but what I received was an "AMLamps" bulb (which generally retail for about 1/4-1/3 the price I paid).

Seller claimed the wrong one was sent, and provided RMA. Seller also said they would reimburse my return shipping, but I never saw the $6.85 USPS postage credited back to my card.

Ultimately, the lamp I received the second time was labeled "Philips", so I feel that I have gotten what I ordered, but the hassle of RMAing what I initially received makes this a questionable value. Next time I'll probably just shop elsewhere.

If I could give them a cracked egg I would! We ordered a replacement bulb for our 65 inch Mitsubishi Tv. The bulb took 2 weeks to get to us... Once installed it worked fine but starting causing our Tv to heat up. After only 2 months the bulb went out and became completly inoperable! I have gone back to the item number here on Newegg and I find it very odd that there are only two reviews that are wonderful but none that tell the truth about the part or about the company that sold the part. Newegg needs to do itself a favor and cut ties with a company that is selling subpar parts and not standing behind them. What a joke. I will never purchase from Newegg again.

this was not an OEM part. The screw/bolts would not fit. I had to re-fit the lamp housing with the old hardware.

Part ordered on the 21st, Tracking number issued the same day with the notation "SHIPPED"

later revised as "Electronic Shipping Info Received" on the 25th.

Part delivered on the 28th, one week later.

misleading shipping info, late delivery and a non conforming non-OEM part that required modification.

I'm wondering how long before it burns out.

and I agreed
he would charge me for a 2nd bulb and mail it as soon as possible
he e-mailed me a shipping label to return the original broken bulb
He would issue full credit for the 2nd charge of $76.14 only after he received 1st damaged bulb back
We received the shipping label see attached
We received the 2nd bulb over the weekend and installed it TV is working fine
We took the broken bulb back to UPS today with the shipping label attached
confirmation bulb that was received in damaged condition was left at UPS December 17 11:26AM tracking number 1zby93x909206726

Defective Item Not Replaced 12/7/2012 12:29:29 PM
The bulb for my DLP TV came quickly but would not work. I emailed New Egg and received some automated email answer saying how rare it is and it must be a different problem. I removed the bulb from new egg from the housing from new egg and put it in the old housing from the burnt out bulb and was finally able to get my TV on. New Egg still has not replied or sent me a replacement. You have lost several customers over this.

We recommended some troubleshooting steps to help find the issue with the customers television. This included an online "lamp troubleshooting wizard".

Often times, this wizard will direct you to exactly what the problem with your television is. If the steps in the wizard did not resolve the issue, we suggested the customer to give us a call so we could process an exchange.

We did not get a reply from the customer, we believe the "lamp troubleshooting wizard" might have fixed the television issue.

I'm really surprised that Newegg is still allowing this company to list products with them. The lamp I got blew out within two days and when I emailed them about returning it, they tried to blame my television even though I told them that another bulb was working just fine in it. Now Newegg and SoCal are blowing me off and won't refund my money even though I shipped the defective bulb back to them. They received it two weeks ago and I still have no refund. I've emailed Newegg and SoCal several times with no response from either. I will never use Newegg again and am really thinking about filing a small claims lawsuit against SoCal. I know that court costs are going to be far more expensive than this bulb was, but it's a matter of right versus wrong.

The bulb seemed great until it went dead after 2 minutes. I called customer service and they kept telling me that the problem is my TV as the bulb is new.

I had to send it back to them to do a test to see if it was the bulb. They would not pay for me to send it back (about $12 to ship) and there was talk of me having to pay them $20 to have them reship it back to me if they determined the bulb was fine. I didn't really have a choice so I sent it back because it was dead.

I never got an email that it arrived or that they did the test. I called them a few days later and they told me they were going to ship me a new bulb. They also claimed that the bulb they sent me was fine but they were sending me a new one anyways. (Then why send a new one?)

When I asked if they would overnight the bulb, they said I'd have to pay for that even though they sent me a bad bulb. They never reimbursed me for the initial shipping and the overall process took a month to get my TV working.

Bought this product for my 65 inch mitsubishi tv and after 3 weeks of use caused my tv to catch fire. I contacted SoCal and all they would do was refund the cost of the lamp after destroying a $3000 tv set. I was extreamly upset with the customer service I recieved and when I informed them that newegg would be contacted and a negative review would be written they blew me off as they didnt care. I would not do business with this company.

Misadvertised a bulb as compatible with my TV, then would not take my return when the bulb did not work.
They did offer an exchange, but that wouldn't help me as it was the wrong bulb to begin with. Suggested that they change their product description as it was misleading and incorrect. I explained my scenario, supported it with verifiable info, but was still turned down.
Resorting to taking an exchange, they wanted to charge me $20 to test against breakage upon return (waived if indeed there was a problem). Knowing that the bulb works fine, but was only incompatible, I declined.
I will avoid this company in the future.
