17th Street Photo has been one of New York's leading sources for camera equipment for both the professional and amateur since 1992. Our sales staff consists of camera users, rather than pushy sales people.

Rating + 4 Fast, but a ding for the packaging

I am satisfied with the speed at which I received my product, but I was a bit nervous the fairly costly 1TB ssd drive was not going to work as it was delivered in a bubble wrap envelope. It did work, however, so I guess they know what they are doing.

I ordered the Zoom H1 Digital Recorder and received a stupid accessory pack for it instead. In the process of requesting a refund or to actually have them ship me the correct item.

First, the people on the phone were very nice. But here was the problem. Needed to return for exchange as the product did not work. Submitted the return request on the Newegg site ,but never heard anything back. Contacted the seller directly and they said they would email me a pre-paid packing slip. Did not happen. After four days, I called again. This time I got the slip while on the phone with the rep. He told me he would process the exchange as soon as they got a shipping confirmation. Instead, four days after shipping the product back I got en email from Newegg showing a refund. Funny thing is, this was an exchange item only, and they sent a refund instead. They did not send an exchange as they said they would, so I ended up having to wait until I heard they were sending a refund before I knew to order a replacement. The process has taken over three weeks, Not very happy. Will probably look for other Newegg vendors when I can.

showed up exactly as advertised exactly as fast as they said it would. great seller with a bunch of people blaming their inability to just pick up the phone and call the seller instead of trying to email them.

their phone works great, call em and they can figure out what you need help with.

The return/exchange guarantee period is 30-days from receipt of delivery. All returns first require a RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION NUMBER from 17th Street Photo.     Return or Replacement Policy: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of receipt, for a refund, or a replacement - subject to the following:

    a) Contact 17th Street Photo to receive a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, to ensure proper handling of the return and/or replacement. Products cannot be returned without an RMA number.

    b) In order to be eligible for a full refund, less shipping expenses, your returned merchandise must be in its original unopened mint condition, as shipped, with all packaging, manuals, and paperwork intact and unaltered. Items removed from their 'blister-pack' display packaging do not qualify for a full refund.

    c) Only the purchase price of the product is refundable. Customers remain responsible for the shipping and handling expenses incurred in shipping the item to them. If an item is offered with "Free Shipping," this means we are paying the freight on your behalf. If that product is returned for a refund, the shipping expenses incurred, will be deducted from the refund. If an item is refused, the carrier bills us for shipping both ways, and these expenses incurred on your behalf need to be deducted from your refund.

Return Instruction
    1. Log onto your account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 - 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
    5. We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed).
