Sheepleg is the beginning of a dream. I am just a guy who wants to make a living comfortable enough to enjoy the things I love: food, family, outdoors, and oh yeah…time to do it.
I have spent a great deal of my life making other people successful, and have made a pretty good way of it myself. So I am using all that I have learned and adding to it by starting my own company so I can still make a living and help people, but on my own terms. Simply put, I’m doing it my way.
I would be foolish to think there are not still people benefiting from my work, and that is fine by me. But I have the opportunity to choose those companies and people that I believe are the most deserving of that support.
My suppliers will be chosen not strictly on who will make me the most money, or necessarily by popularity. I am choosing the majority of my suppliers by their vision and dedication to making the outdoors great and preserving them as best we can.
Let’s be honest, there are no secrets here. You can buy this stuff nearly anywhere, at the same price, so why here? Won’t it make you feel good to know every purchase you make is going to help a charity? Sheepleg is donating a portion of every sale to a charity of some sort. You can read more about our charities here. Beyond that, you should know that the majority of our suppliers also give back in some way. Whether it is through corporate donations, employee volunteers, or any number of methods; we chose them first because of their dedication to giving back and second based on sales. You may not know what they do, but you can learn more by signing up for our newsletters and blogs where we will talk about the great things our partners do.
While you are surfing our site, look for the Sheepleg Give Back logo logo. When you see it, you will know that buying this product Gives Back not only through the contribution we will make from your purchase, but also from the contribution made from the manufacturer because of our purchase. We also are doing our best to be eco-friendly regarding our shipping of orders. We aren’t perfect, but we are trying to be better a little every day.
We buy our boxes and packing tape from http://www.globeguardproducts.com/. Aside from providing great products, the folks are great to work with. They make doing business fun. When possible, we also reuse the boxes our suppliers send merchandise to us in.
We try to print the absolute bare minimum. Even though we use recycled paper, we still want to limit the amount of it. We must print customer pack slips and shipping labels, there is no need to waste paper on printing price lists from suppliers when we have digital access to them.
What’s In A Name?
So I am sure you are curious as to where the name Sheepleg came from; here it goes. When I was a little kid I would go over to my grandmother’s house to play. When it was cold outside, I would come in to warm up and would have snot running out of my nose. My grandmother would go get tissue, put me in some sort of strange choke hold, and tell me to blow. Well sometimes the snot was intense, I’m talking like when I would blow, it would be stuck on the tissue and the back of my eyeballs. She would pull the tissue away a foot or so and once it finally came out or broke loose my grandmother would say, “looks like we got a sheepleg.” Who in the world knows why I remember stuff like that, but thanks Grandma.
- Returns Policy
1. Log onto your Newegg.com account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 - 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
5. We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
