Because I can't give 0, terrible. 1/18/2017 3:18:03 PM
I didn't want to believe it, but Datavision is really as bad as all the others have said. The customer service does not respond to multiple inquiries! No tracking label, even though it's meant to be signed. They wouldn't even respond after they shipped a damaged TV (must sell B-Stock)! They make it clear they don't do returns or RMA's in their little warranty blurb on your receipt, but after speaking with Newegg I was assured by the Newegg reps that I can and that Newegg would send the slip themselves. Newegg did exactly that, and yet the TV sat there for weeks. I got a UPS label originally for the RMA and randomly Fedex shows up 3 times claiming I would be sending the TV through them.

This was yet another case of no communication, and after taking the pickup slip and calling Fedex, they claimed it wasn't even a slip for me. It was a reused one. Go figure, yet another problem. Tried calling Datavision, heh that went "great". Basically they want to leave you with the lemon. So after all this, Datavision claims they didn't receive the TV. Which too bad for them that UPS not only delivered it to the correct address, but they had a "Neil" sign for it at their receiving dock. Yep! He signed for a ghost package.

It took 2 months to get my money back from these guys, I cannot recommend avoiding highly enough. They didn't even feel the need to respond to the CC companies chargeback. And it tells you a lot when the Newegg rep pushes you in that direction because he "Doesn't think this will go anywhere through their channels.". I don't blame the egg for this. But I do blame them for continuing to allow Datavision to continue to be a seller despite a sea of 1 eggs.

Do yourself a solid and get your TV from any other seller. Or a different website. Datavision doesn't respect you as a customer, and they let that be known on multiple fronts. Thanks to their incredible incompetence, I had to get the TV at a much higher price as they drug their feet long enough to make sure I missed the sale. It was a gift, and you can't hardly just say "Fooled you! Nevermind!".

I am sure another victim will happen thinking "My luck will be better" and I hope yours is. But if it isn't, you aren't alone with that decision. We all have now paid that consequence.

- Brandon

Terrible 1/6/2017 3:40:43 AM
I ordered something and had it delivered to an incorrect place. My fault entirely but it seems that even though the person sent it right back I will still be charged for it. I have sent 4 emails and had no response so I guess I will have to do a chargeback through my credit card. Terrible is probably the wrong word for this company's customer service, instead it should be non-existent.

Avoid this seller at all costs 12/5/2016 7:45:07 AM
Ordered item on 11/9, received on 11/14, opened package to find wrong part was shipped. I attempted to contact the marketplace seller to get the item switched out but received no response. After several days I initiated Newegg's lengthy manual return process, they issued an RMA on behalf of the seller and I shipped the item back, 1 week after receiving the item the seller is yet to issue a refund and again I have to go through Newegg's manual process to get my money back.

1 egg is too much, should be 0

Customer Service is Nonexistant 10/21/2016 4:17:15 PM
This review is of the seller only and not the products that I purchased.

I ordered 3 monitors that I had planned in using in a triple monitor display. The monitors I purchased were supposed to have a nearly edge-less display. The stock images of the item do show an image all the way to the edge of the glass. When I received them I discovered that although the glass did indeed go all the way to the edge, and the bezel was only 1-2mm thick, there was a good 4-5mm of screen that did not display all the way around the edge of the screen. To further complicate things the bottom edge of the monitor where the speakers were located protruded from the rest of the frame about 2-3mm. This made it impossible to mate the monitors side by side without a gap. There was a gap between the actual displays of nearly 1", which was just as bad as any two monitors with a standard bezel. The monitors were awesome. Super clear, IPS panels, decent speakers and VESA mountable, but because I had purchased the monitors for the single purpose of being bezel-less and they did not ultimately work for what I was wanting, I wanted to return them. I attempted to contact DataVision several times to initiate a return, but never received any response. After a few weeks I decided to contact Newegg directly. They also attempted to contact DataVision, but received no response after a week. I had to contact Newegg again, who ultimately issued a return on their behalf. The whole process took nearly a month. I got the monitors out using the return labels that Newegg issued and figured the issue was resolved. Nope. Almost three weeks later I received an email stating that DataVision had voided my return. I contacted Newegg to figure out why. According to DataVision they "did not receive my return within their valid return period of 45 days". Total B.S. Even after having to contact Newegg to get an RMA even issued, I had those monitors to UPS within 30 days and they showed as delivered seven days later, which is within the 45 day period. DataVision clearly doesn't care about their customers. However, hats off to Newegg. They actually do care and after a short phone call and reviewing the history of my calls were willing to issue the return even though DataVision had denied it.

Last order of computers - New vs. Used 9/1/2016 8:39:36 AM
One of the computers we ordered from the carton appeared it was a refurb; it had been re-taped and other labeling was on it besides our shipping information. I spoke with the company and they said they do not sell refurbished, and if we sent it back and it was OK, they would not replace it. The computer itself came on right away and seemed fine however, so we kept it.

Untrustworthy 8/27/2016 12:02:39 PM
This company seems to have no issues lying to their customers and pocketing extra money paid for services they do not provide. I paid extra for 2-day shipping but, they only shipped it ground and did not bother providing any tracking information. When I did not receive the package on time, I questioned them about it and found out that they used the wrong shipping method, resulting in a 3 day delay. When I demanded a refund for the shipping, they refused and claimed that they would check with Newegg to verify if the package was delivered within an "acceptable delivery window." I later checked with Newegg, who had not heard anything from the seller regarding my issue, so their claim was nothing but a lie to get me off the phone. Do not trust this seller!

Bad Business practice/Customer service 7/19/2016 8:05:10 AM
I would not recommended DATAVision for your purchase if you plan on contacting their customer service. They do not price match and hammer you with fees for restocking/returning. I must say though, they shipped the item fast and their customer service responded quickly. Overall, for the amount they would NOT price match its is a shame to lose a potential repeat customer. Poor business practice. If your going to sell through a large good standing retailer i.e. Newegg, play by the same standard / practices. I wish i read the seller reviews prior to purchase to save the grief.

Do not buy from DataVision. 7/16/2016 9:57:53 AM
I placed my ordered from this vendor for 195$ because Newegg was out of stock at the time. Then i found a better deal and wanted to cancel my order. DataVision ignored the cancellation request, sent the product to my house. They was contacted for a return shipping Label. And again they ignored, this vendor has very very very poor customer service. I don't even think they have one. So buy from them at your own risk!!

Terrible Customer Service/Bad Product on arrival 7/13/2016 7:17:42 AM
I ordered a 1TB WD Passport Ultra HD. The product was defective on arrival. I called WD to try and fix the device and they said I needed to send it back to the seller for a replacement. So I contacted newegg which in turn sent an e-mail to the company and they responded within minutes. So I tried to personally contact them again after this asking for an update on the return and never received an e-mail after that. They offered a full refund but guess what I had to pay $10 for shipping back to the vendor. They wouldn't e-mail a prepaid shipping label. So i expected a new product in return. Here they just refunded all my money and no new product. So in return I ordered an Item. Sent it back and had to pay $10 for nothing. What a waste of time and money. I don't recommend this company to anyone and recommend at all costs to avoid them.

-There is always a slight noise of static in the background.

Was worried by ratings, but it worked out fine 5/12/2016 8:53:07 PM
After I ordered product, somehow I had missed that it was not from Newegg.com themselves, checked reviews of DataVision and became very worried. Product was shipped promptly, I received notification and tracking information promptly, product arrived as expected. Product was as described, appears to be new, all parts were present. The price was higher than I could have paid, but I guess I thought I was buying another product, my fault. So far, I have no reason to not recommend this seller.

Avoid at all costs! 4/7/2016 8:07:14 AM
In the spirit of fairness I waited until everything was complete with this order before posting a review here and I still wish I could give zero eggs for both the seller and Newegg.

I ordered (3) U22715H monitors on Newegg that were being sold by DataVision on 3/11/16. Card was charged on 3/15/16 for whatever reason. Monitors were delivered on 3/18/16 which was consistent with the shipping policy.

When I picked up the monitors I noticed almost immediately that the model number on the box was wrong. I came home and checked to make sure that I didnt order the wrong monitor, I received (3) U2515H monitors. My Newegg order and items checked out. I sent the first message to DataVision on 3/18/16 asking about what we can do to resolve the issue. After browsing their reviews I was pretty disheartened.

Having not received a response by 3/21/16 I sent a message to Newegg and was greeted with a confirmation that said it would take 1-2 business days to respond. This was unacceptable. Instead I called DataVision directly and asked about the order. I was told that the listing was put up in error and there are no replacements and that I should return the monitors for a refund which should be processed 2-3 business days after receiving the RMA.

I sent the monitors back on 3/22/16 and on 3/23/16 I received a response from Newegg saying my RMA has been authorized. I replied to this email stating that the monitors have already shipped back and provided the tracking numbers as well as my frustration for the process and the order. I received another message saying thanks for the email, we'll get back to you in 1-2 business days.

Sure enough I received an email on 3/26/16 from someone else at Newegg that obviously didnt read the response I sent and asked me if I need more shipping labels. At this point I was done with Newegg support, zero help and response time is atrocious.

The monitors arrived on 3/24/16 and I still saw nothing in my account on 3/30/16 so I once again called DataVision. This time I was told that the procesing of a refund takes about 5 business days but that they would put it in that day for me. On 4/1/16 I got emails from Newegg stating my return status has been updated, then received, and finally approved and will be paid out in 3-5 business days. The refund finally posted on 4/5/16 to my account.

Take aways:

Its clear that this was a straight up Bait and Switch. This listing was live from when I ordered on 3/11 to about 3/16 and no emails were sent out from Newegg or the seller about the mixup. The monitors I ordered MSRP for $200 more than the ones I received. If I didnt notice the model number on the box and opened them I'm sure my recourse here would be even more limited.

If you need to call DataVision do so in the morning. They are pretty responsive at that time. In the afternoon you wont get through because I'm quite sure they have only one guy working support. He does a good job but hes still only one guy.

Newegg email support is pretty useless and it takes a while to get anything done if they understand your issue to begin with.

DataVision has some serious process and communication issues so unless you feel like borrowing them money for sending you the wrong items and waiting for the RMA to process then go ahead.

Funny enough, DataVision also sells on Amz and their reviews there are 97% positive (last 12 mo). To me this means that datavision cares more about Amz as a channel than it does about Newegg or that Amz holds DataVision accountable to a higher standard.

Amz typically has better pricing and even if they dont their customer service is a night and day difference over what I keep experiencing here at Newegg.

Amz is apparently a bad word for Newegg. Saw that a buyer below was offered a pricematch by Newegg, too bad this wasnt the case for me but way to go for that guy!

Sorry, Newegg, its been great but this was a super frustrating experience that required me to take care of everything and lend one of your sellers money for a month. This just simply isnt acceptable.

I've tried to keep this as objective as possible, I hope this helps someone avoid the situation I just went through.

STAY AWAY! 4/5/2016 7:09:52 AM
If you're reading this review and still decide to purchase from DataVision you're a fool. Stay away from them no matter the price they offer.

Purchased a monitor and they sent the wrong one claiming it was Newegg's fault. Spoke to a manager (Mike S.) at DataVision who is either incompetent or just straight lied to me. Basically, third party providers (DataVision) are given their own portal to enter products and prices. DataVision obviously priced a 27" monitor the same as the 25" size (a great deal which was the reason I bought it). However, they sent the 25" and blamed Newegg for cross matching the 27" with the 25".

Newegg, to my surprise actually, offered to price match DataVision so I ended up returning the 25" and buying the 27" from Newegg. The next fun part was not receiving a return from DataVision, who claimed it was Newegg who would issue the return. Again, either an incompetent worker or another lie from DataVision. Newegg personally called them on my behalf to resolve the refund and it was issued a few days later.

As a bonus, the product arrived (from DataVision) in original packaging (opposed to an additional, bigger brown box) which was greatly damaged. I can only imagine what abuse the monitor took.

TL:DR - STAY AWAY!
