Ordered the item to come about a week after ordering. After being charged and given a tracking number for the item a couple days later, I was told the order was canceled and the money put back on my card. What was I tracking??

The last thing I ever buy from this store. The laptop won't boot with the new battery "fixes" they suggested didn't work. With a 15% restocking fee and cost to ship it back, I'll just have to take loss.

Wrong Battery Sent; Too Short. 5/7/2016 9:44:26 PM
I was sent the wrong battery. No refund was offered unless I returned the erroneous shipment at my expense. I returned it six weeks ago. Still no refund. The Battery for my Dell Laptop was ordered with the brand and model suggested on the website. When I received it, it was two inches too short.

AVOID THIS SELLER AT ALL COSTS. Sold me broken laptop battery, does not have an RMA # or label system, will not reply to my question when asked who will pay for return shipping. Read all this sellers reviews and do not buy from them. Many, many buyers all having same terrible experience. Just look at their reviews.

TL;DR: Don't buy products from BTExpert unless you're willing to risk having to spend the money to ship the item back to them regardless of whether or not you work on an RMA within the 30 day return policy. Also, they could use someone who at least attempts to put forth effort into grammar when responding to customer's RMA inquiries.

I decided to purchase a battery for my MSI GX660R Gaming laptop from BTExpert only to find that the battery either was bad, or incompatible with my laptop even though they list compatibility with my exact model of laptop. That in and of itself does not necessarily warrant a 1 start rating but you'll see where it begins to deserve the 1 star rating.

I contacted the vendor through Newegg's RMA inquiry system and receive a copy/pasted response recommending things I should try first which is fine. So, I go through and follow all of the directions from making sure my laptop firmware is up to date, that the battery is properly seated, hibernation/sleep mode disabled, and that I try to calibrate the battery by letting it drain and charge to full. The battery doesn't seem to hold a charge at all because it shows 100% charge and then literally after 10-20 seconds the laptop goes to critical battery and then shuts off. Now I've been in the IT industry for over 10 years and building my own systems for over 20 years (since middle school) so I know when something isn't right. Now here's where the 1 star is deserved for the company.

I contacted them again and this was well within 30 days of purchase and after giving the due diligence of following their recommendations they refuse to provide reimbursement or provide a pre-paid shipping label to ship the battery back to them. So I buy a battery for $32 that doesn't work, and then they expect the customer even though it's reported the "NEW" product is not working expect them to spend $17 to ship the defective item back to them. That is what I consider to be robbery.

Another thing that contributes to their 1 star is their complete lack of professionalism. When I asked them to provide me a return shipping label, here was the exact word for word response I got from them and if I could include a screenshot to prove this wording trust me I would.

Notice the grammatical errors and lack of a professional signature? Then when I responded to them again asking how they intend to reimburse me for the shipping costs, instead of responding to me to inform me of the bad news that they're expecting me to cover all of the costs, they just ignore it entirely until I end up shipping the item back to them and asking for a full refund. I still got no further response from them until they received the shipment and tested the product. They state nothing is wrong with the battery and blamed my laptop asking me, and I quote, "is the laptop on your computer working properly". I'm not sure what they mean by is my laptop "on my computer" working properly, but I'm going to guess they're asking me if I'm sure the laptop is not the problem. Fortunately due to my Newegg premier account Newegg was able to come through for me on the shipping costs. So major kudos to Newegg for standing by their customers.

To answer this question I had already immediately while I was shipping this battery back to them purchased a replacement battery for the laptop from a competitor company off another site and that battery works flawlessly on the laptop, so I am positive it's not a problem with my laptop and it just seems to be an issue probably of compatibility and lack of proper QA testing on the full range of laptops that battery is supposed to be compatible with.

I felt like this company was so shady in the way they handled lack of paid return shipping and their poor grammatical responses that I felt the need to take extra precautions. What I mean by that is I took multi angled pictures of the product to prove there was no "customer damage", a picture of the note I taped to the battery specifying in large font that I would like a refund, and waited to write this review until I have in writing from both Newegg and BTExpert that I was getting my refund for the product purchased so they couldn't claim I did something and try to refuse the refund.

Very good battery for the price 10/28/2015 2:49:30 PM
Very good for a OEM battery at fraction of the cost of the original from HP. The fully charged replacement battery last almost as long as the original even though it is hard to determine since it has been over two years with the new battery.

Bought a laptop battery for a colleague who needed one right away since his battery stopped holding charge. I paid the extra for expedited shipping and was received in 5 days. Tried to contact the seller by email a few times to return the item because my colleague could not wait any more than 3 days for the battery, end up purchasing another laptop so that he could resume his work, so we no longer needed the battery. Received no response at all. So we just kept it on the shelf if we ever needed it or if we ever get a response. Fast Forward a few days, another colleague who has the same model laptop needed a battery. So we get the battery still in its USPS Flat Rate Envelope, and it was in pieces in its plastic shell, AND it's the wrong battery! Send another email but no response. Even a reply from the seller stating that no returns are no longer accepted would be okay and i know that my request was received. So seller gets One Egg because No Eggs is not an option!

The battery I ordered was not recognized by the laptop when I received it, so I emailed the vendor, they said the laptop needed a bios update to recognize the new battery. The computer ended up out of the country for 6 months before we were able to do the bios update they suggested (there were no others available) and the same result. I emailed the vendor, they just said we'd taken too long and tough luck. The unit had never worked. This company is not at all reputable.

They advertised a compatible laptop power supply for a specific laptop and sent me a 65watt power supply. The laptop they advertised requires 120watts. I emailed them and they got back fast +1 egg, but insisted they sent the correct power supply. I work for and with Electricians and know a 65 watt power supply will burn up like no tomorrow if I plug it into the laptop during heavy use. So I wouldn't recommend the company due to the lack of knowledge of what they are selling.

Battery does not charge upto 100% 3/20/2015 12:46:26 PM
Bought this battery as a replacement to the original battery. However, it charges only upto 59%. On contacting the buyer, I was told to calibrate the battery. After doing the same, the charge changed to 60%. I wrote back to the seller with the latest update and have not heard back after. We will continue to keep the battery, but I have made a note not to buy from this seller again. If the issue is with the calibration, why wasn't the battery calibrated before it was mailed out?

I received a battery that was a poor fit for my computer. Installing it caused a clip to be broken. The battery has a tendency to pop out. I am now stuck with ma barely usable laptop.
