Newfound energy control, in four simple steps.

Intuitive installation

Wiser Air

STEP 1: EXISTING WIRING
Disconnect the power to the HVAC system. Then, remove the existing thermostat's panel from the wall without disconnecting the wires. Be sure to take a picture of what you see - you'll need to reference it later.

Wiser Air

STEP 2:MATCH WIRES
Disconnect the wiring of the existing thermostat and remove the back plate. Pull the wires out of the wall (a few inches through the central hole of the Wiser Air back plate). Then, level and attach the Wiser Air back plate to the wall.

Wiser Air

STEP 3: CONNECT WIRES
Connect the wiring to the Wiser Air back plate, matching the terminal connections to the ones in the picture you took in Step 1. If things get confusing, reference the installation manual or simply give us a call and we'll help sort everything out.

Wiser Air

STEP 4: CONNECT WISER
Finally, snap your Wiser Air onto the back plate and restore the power to the HVAC system. Watch for the halo to begin glowing as your device powers for the first time. Congratulations, you've installed your Wiser Air thermostat!

Smooth touchscreen setup.

Connect and control
Finally, scan for and join your WiFi network. After Wiser Air connects, you're all set!

Wiser Air

STEP 1: CONFIRM WIRING
Once on your wall, the Wiser Air setup wizard walks you through connecting to your home’s system so you can start personalizing your settings. Start by verifying your wiring configuration.

Wiser Air

STEP 2: SELECT HVAC TYPE
Next, tell Wiser Air a little about the HVAC system in your home by answering a few brief questions.

Wiser Air

STEP 3: COMMECT TO WIFI
Finally, scan for and join your WiFi network. After Wiser Air connects, you're all set!

Sync and go

Keeping the convenience going, the last step of syncing Wiser Air with your home, and your life, is downloading the app for on-the-go control.

I've had just about enough of this thing...

Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: Inaccurate temperature reading that fluctuates up and down 5 degrees in less that a minute with no actual temperature change. ECO IQ is terrible, family is constantly adjusting the temperature because this thing WILL NOT MAINTAIN A COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURE.
Weather forecast would tell us there was a two thousand to five quadrillion percent chance of snow every day (no exaggeration). Customer support told me it was a math error in the program. That's a pretty big error.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this for almost four months now. I contacted Schneider to replace the thermostat after a couple of weeks of owning because of the inaccurate temperature fluctuations. I really wish that I had just returned it for a refund. As a mild tempered guy that usually gets along well with technology, I am literally ready to tear this thing off the wall, smash it with a hammer and mail it back to Schneider Electric. All I want it to do is keep it one temperature during the day, and then cool off a few degrees at night when we're asleep. It stubbornly refuses to do that. Every time we make an adjustment to the temperature, the thermostat says "ECO IQ is learning from you behavior". Well, it has a learning disability. We want it 73 degrees during the day while we're home, and 68 degrees when we sleep. It heats anywhere between 70 and 75 during the day and it was doing okay for a short while when we slept. Now, for whatever reason, we've been waking up sweating because this thing is heating up the house to 75 degrees in the middle of the night. Then, during the day it is it's only keeping the temperature at 70. It's almost like this thing mixed up day and night. So, I took it out of ECO IQ mode and tried to just use it like a normal programmable thermostat. Well, that's irritating also, because for some reason Schneider decided to not let you program the temperature online, or from the app. You can only do it on the thermostat. Why? I can't answer that. Why not make all settings available from all three places? Right now I have it in manual mode, which makes it a very expensive, basic wifi thermostat. If it doesn't work well in manual, Schneider is going to get a package from me that rattles.

Nice thermostat , great customer service

Pros: The unit looks great and the halo around the unit is very cool. The build quality is great and the experience so far is pretty good. Set up was very easy though it took over 15 minutes for the firmware update. The unit had a spinning graphic for so long I was concerned, but it finally completed and all was fine with the update. The app for android is simple enough. It gets the job done but could be more elaborate. I had to use an older android phone sitting in my drawer to set the schedule since the app continually crashed on my Nexus 5X running Android 7.0 whenever I try to save schedule settings. Android 7.0 (Nougat) is so new only Google phones have it so I suspected that my old phone running Lollipop (5.1) would work. I was right. Using my old phone I was able to set schedules and now on my Nexus 5x I can change setpoints and monitor my home but can't change the schedule. Edit 1-18-17: Schneider has fixed 7.0/7.1.1 app...now working! I have not yet tried ECO-IQ so can't comment.

Cons: App needs more flexibility. The Wiser Air has this notion of "Ready Modes" of Home, Away and Asleep. So you can have ONE setpoint for each mode. So in the schedule you set the temperature (both for cooling and heating) for each mode. But I want to change the scheduled setpoint for the HOME ready mode for different parts of the day. For example when I wake up I want the temperature to go up to about 68 from my ASLEEP setpoint of 65 since we are only home for a brief time in the morning. Later in the day I want the HOME setpoint to be 70. This can't be done unless I'm missing something. So my ready mode HOME setpoint is 70 and I manually set the morning temperature to 68 upon waking up. Not a big deal but it would be nice if the scheduling was more flexible. Also the unit only comes with an installation guide which is comprehensive, but no User Manual. I cannot find one location on the website that lists the feature set in one place. I found the information I needed but it wasn't easy. Most likely there are things available that I don't yet know about.

Other Thoughts: I sent a notification email to customer support. Within a few days my Android 7.0/7.1.1 app is now working!

Good product, bad support

Pros: Sleek, modern, great looking. Relatively easy to install & setup. Great scheduling options. Displays weather alerts, etc.

Cons: Wiser support does not respond to questions. Their support website is organized a little strange, making it difficult to find answers to questions. No place to access other users questions/answers. No COMPLETE user manual available. The smartphone app has a few small issues but no way to report them.

Other Thoughts: Good product if you don't have any questions & don't need any support!

Works but has a few quirks

Pros: Nice design, easy install, simple interface

Cons: The device reports to the cloud and thus the app operates on the cloud. Although everything works, there are several quirks and bugs that needs to be worked out. On Android, the app doesn't seem to scale correctly. I wasn't able to enter my address and thus I wasn't able to use the app at all. Fortunately there is a Windows app (I use Win10) and I was able to set things up that way. After that I could use the Android app as well. Further, the reports on the Android app doesn't show the time properly, only displays one digit (eg, 08,09,10, 11 is displayed as 0,0,1,1). Connection with the cloud is lost often and it takes a couple of tries to re-establish.
The reports are limited to a single report that shows inside temp vs set temp vs outside temp. WOuld be nice with additional reports showing the number of minutes the heat/air has been on for example.
Still tryinmg out the intelligent mode, it does lower the temp overnight which is nice, but thereis no way to tell what temp is set, only the temp currently in the house. Would be nice to set the set temp so one knows what to expect.

Attractive Thermostat, Easy Installation/Setup, Not Buggy, Superb Customer Service, Works Great!

Pros: - Attractive/Unique Design
- Easy installation/Setup
- No software glitches on either the thermostat or iPhone app
- Customer service are knowledgeable, courteous, and seem to really care about resolving issues
- Fantastic reports and device management software

Cons: - EcoIQ is difficult to understand in practice (e.g., takes at least two weeks to "learn" your habits, however, seems as if it didn't seem to "learn" my habits well)
- No instruction manual provided regarding device management (there's a FAQ provided online)
- Features such as EcoIQ and the Humidity regulation aren't well documented at the moment

Other Thoughts: I've tinkered with the Nest devices in the past and was impressed by them, as they were the pioneers of this smart thermostat technology. However, I believe the Schneider Electric has nailed the design and functionality components with their WiserAir device. I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of this brand prior to receiving this item as a gift, but now I'm a big fan (no pun intended).

The iPhone app is a mirror image of what you see on the physical thermostat screen (for the most part). You can also control the device through the WiserAir website in case you aren't near your mobile device.

I had a small issue regarding my heat not turning on in the beginning. However, this was quickly resolved through Schneider Electric's superb technical support personnel. They were very interested in resolving my issue, and did so promptly. There was nothing wrong with the thermostat, rather it was with the wiring of my air handler, which we quickly resolved.

Schneider Electric should provide some greater details and instructions on some of the features of their WiserAir device, such as the humidity regulation and EcoIQ. As of a few weeks ago, there were some promotional images on their website showing that you could activate it, but that was all. There wasn't any technical explanation of what happened behind the scenes or what other additional equipment is required for enabling such features, namely the humidity control.

Either way, I highly recommend this product to those that are interested in purchasing a smart thermostat. You won't be disappointed.

One of the nicest items in our house

Pros: Perfect design - way better than competitive products like Nest or Ecobee, not even talking about outdated Honeywell designed thermostats. It is stylish and beautiful with color accents, it is like created for glossy white kitchen Italian style designs.
Very easy to use as soon as it is connected to the network.
I have replaced Honeywell thermostat in brand new house with this one, and it is like day-and-night. I probably have to replace all electrical items with matching design Legrand Adorne - stylish ones, otherwise brand new standard ones look too outdated and ugly comparing to this thermostat, or at least closest ones to it.
Touch screen is pretty good - sensitive enough and precise. Now I don't need to switch heat and cold modes, thermostat doesn't it automatically. Ability to use remote control (any smart phone or tablet/computer) on the Internet to pre-heat or pre-cool the house.
Includes an additional 24V power supply if you need it (Wiser Wire Extender Kit).
Conclusion: Designed and engineered properly, 5 stars out of 5.

Cons: It was not that easy to connect it to the network (my network setup is not a simple one), it takes plenty of time, especially when it started to update the firmware immediately. Unit shall report the process of firmware update, this is kind of confusing - it seems like it is stuck at some point.
Sensitivity of the Wi-Fi adapter shall be improved - it shows only 2 bars out of 3 while my all other devices show 4 out of 4 At the same spot. It is not critical though as soon as it can connect and keep that connection.
Unclear how and why it changes the background LED color - it shall be described somewhere in the manual.

Other Thoughts: It you value your privacy, don't buy Nest (Google) products. Thermostat in your smart home is a pretty important item, being connecting to the Internet directly during 24/7 it can provide a lot of information to the world - even to hackers.
While security and privacy concerns are optimized in smartphones, they are not optimized at the same level in smart home devices. These are pretty new on the market, unless you pay for the custom designed and configured set of equipment.
