While it works good, be careful though on the 18 gauge wiring

Pros: If you are just using it to charge some devices, maybe plug a laptop, or light in. You're fine.

Cons: 18 guage wiring feeds this power strip. Even the cheapest strips at local retailers include 16 gauge. However, the strip says it is rated for 10 Amps maximum. While that is possible, 18 ga wiring for power transmission is only rated to carry 3 amps. That may be why the cord is UL rated, but the strip does not carry that rating.

If you are just using it to charge some devices, maybe plug a laptop, or light in. You're fine. However, if you use it to plug your crock pot or other >3A draw, be careful and monitor how hot the cord is getting. I would have felt much better if it had a 5A circuit breaker on the outside like most power strip do. This one probably (hopefully) only has internal fuses. But the danger is the cord, probably not the strip itself.

very cool

Pros: 1. 4 outlets for TVs, security camera, heater
2. 5 USB ports for my mobile devices like phone, tablet, usb recorder...
3. strong built material
4. cords look organize when all connected.
5. one on/off switch to power on/off the strip when not in use.
6. labels are all well written
7. Easy plug in/removes cable and power cords
8. surge power cable is in good 5ft length
9. great for home use as well as office at work
10. good size to pack on travel as well

Cons: 1. no individual on/off switch for each usb port.
2. no cover for those unused outlets
3. no ethernet or coax ports

Other Thoughts: I had a great experience with another Qicent power surge, so decided to have another one to use in my garage where I have my router, modem and security camera.... It has served me well. Love it. This power surge is also small so I can take it along for travel if I want to.

Pros: Provides great access for multiple types of devices that need charging. It has a range of 115-240 volts and can be used with an adapter in other countries.

Cons: I would like the cord a bit longer.

Other Thoughts: Very satisfied.

Small office workstation solution

Pros: The surge protector itself is fairly portable for the amount of multiuse that it allows for plugging in AC plugs or USB pors. It measures roughly 6 and 11/16th inch by 3 and 7/8th inch by 1 and 9/16th inches.

Each USB port among the 5 available maxes out to 2.4A and carries a total of 8A total output altogether. While it doesn't necessary charge under a full load 2.4A x 5 ports = 12A and only 8A, this is pretty heavy duty for an office setup. It's not likely that people will have 5 iPads or tablets to charge all in one spot like that. But, it is more common to have any 5 combination of smartphone or bluetooth device or power bank to use at a given time, and throwing in one or two tablets is reasonable as well.

There are 4 sockets on this surge protector and each pair of them lined up is inverted in comparison to the other pair. I'm unsure why that's the case. If I was QICENT, I'd have the tri-prong design to have each plug face outwards so that it doesn't get in the way if you end up using one of those big plugs like for printers, telephones, or lamps. That design would not get in the way of using the other ports. Here with this current design, I can currently use big plugs and fit them all on the surge protector sockets, but I'd have to flip them the wrong way to make them all fit without blocking the other sockets.

There's a simple ON/OFF switch where the power cord comes out that makes it easy to cut off the power or power everything on. It's very responsive and easy to slide over from one end to the other.

The user manual is not helpful, but fortunately, QICENT added a sticker label on the bottom of the surge protector that has all of the technical information an electrician or a homeowner would ever need to know about what you can and cannot do with this product.

There's about 52 inches of measured power cable length so that can be kept in mind to have at least 4 inches to pull away from a wall outlet to rearrange in your office setup. It probably wouldn't be long enough to house the surge protector on a tabletop, but it should be fine to move it anywhere from the floor.

There are rubber stoppers that have minimal height on all 4 corners of the base of the surge protector. You can still knock it around back and forth, but it won't slide easily.

I really like the feel of the surge protector on the sides. It handles and feels smoothly with a polished coating along the sides of the surge protector.

Cons: The User Manual for this product is not helpful. It does not help for English readers to know anything about this product. The help that someone would get from using this product is on the sticker at the bottom of the surge protector. QICENT should improve the User Manual to provide more technical information.

Rubber stoppers on the bottom base of the product could be stronger and thicker for better grip with the floor.

Other Thoughts: I've had other QICENT Surge Protectors before and they do a good job of designing specs for those products that meets the need for most small office or workstation setups in the household. It can be used for work as well. For me, I use these types of surge protectors around the main living and entertainment spaces in my house as well as my workstation where I currently have a laptop plug, LED lamp plug, and a few mobile accessories charging using this product at the moment.

I tested most ports and sockets and they were charging just fine, so no noticeable defects.

It looks like an overall simple design that most people should be able to figure out how to use right out of the box.

About the same weight as any other average surge protector.

If QICENT improves on it's product page description on NewEgg and it's user manual, it will be much more helpful for viewers, buyers, and customers.
