A great case

Pros: Very spacious, Tons of air to move, well designed layout, plenty of options for your configuration, comes with decent fans, front panel usb/audio cables are of decent length, sturdy for an aluminum case, very light as it uses only aluminum, no plastic or steel.

Cons: Some edges are pretty sharp, only decent fans, front panel usb/audio could of been a bit longer to ease cable management, no removable motherboard tray.

Other Thoughts: This is a large case, and with such you will need more air flow then a smaller case to move all that air. You have many choices of layout, either one power supply mounted at the top or the bottom, or you can go with two if you plan to water cool/TEC and want to offload from your main PSU. It is such a large case you could run triple loop water if you wanted too (all internal) You also have the choice to mount your HD's vertical or horizontal, or both. All in all a great case, I was surprised how sturdy it was, most aluminum only cases feel flimsy but this one is very solid.

Awesome case

Pros: Excellent design, classic look with out the blasted front door. I had an extended-ATX motherboard, and wanted a "Professional" looking case, nothing with all these flashy bells and whistles. Perfect.

Dual PSU bays is nice when you need added power, and still have a nice PSU you don't want (or need other that for Watts) to replace.

Removable HDD rack is a plus (underneath is a nice place to hide wires from a bottom mounted PSU)

Sturdy for the most part, nice aluminum finish.

HDD Fan is nice.

Cons: As mentioned previously, side air duct isn't very conducive to fan replacement, though with a dremel I managed to make the screw channels large enough to accommodate a replacement.

If you don't look at the spec sheet, this is rather large.

CPU fan duct only covered about 60% of my second CPU's heatsink (I have since put fans on the otherwise passive heatsinks)

Airflow behind 5.25" bays not the best

Other Thoughts: I have a pair of PC P&C 610W power supplies in this case with room to spare with wires. Cable management is excellent in this case.

You can replace the front hard drive fan with a Scythe UltraKAZE fan (it's thicker than most) and there's just enough room to get it in there.

System:
Dual Xeon 2.66GHz w/HT on an Extended-ATX board
4GB ECC FBDIMM
5xSeagate 750GB SATA's in RAID5 via 3ware card
1xSeagate 320GB IDE
passivly cooled ATI 2400HD (not a gamming rig obviously)
TV Tuner
3ware RAID card.

Pros: Large. Easily fits the SLI, water cooling, and two PSU I needed for my setup. Clean look. Runs cool and very quiet with the three 120 fans.

Cons: The front bezel is not grounded to anything on the case. So when I touch it before grounding myself to the case, it causes my computer to turn off. I had to add a grounding strap to it and the case.

Other Thoughts: Lian Li has some accessories to let you mod this, but good luck finding a retailer that still caries them. It looks like this is the "old" model, as they do not even list it on Lian Li's web page. Make sure you have room at your desk, this thing is very tall.

mysterious part for jon

Pros: i have a pa120.3 mounted internally in the top of this case yet still have room to park a hummer in it... also u can't beat the classic shape without annoying front door.

Cons: none if u like well built and roomy

Other Thoughts: Jon... that mysterious part u wrote about is the psu cover. stick it on the back of your case and it will reduce noise from the psu.

Case is amazing but...

Pros: The case is amazing from a feature point of view. It's huge and roomy. It makes my motherboard, Heatsink and GPU look tiny by comparison. It also keeps everything very cool.

Cons: I know many people won't care but the documentation and packaging details! The 1 sheet documentation with only a dozen words of English on it were a little lacking to me. A better guide could have saved me some time during installation.

They also 'cheated' on the side cooling kit. This thing is awesome don't get me wrong and it cools very well but the fan is attached by thumb screws to a special fan with threads (which is slightly smaller than the average fan screw size). The 120mm replacement fans I brought came with screws that were too big to fit through the smaller thumb screw hole in the side fan attachment. I had to dig around and find some other screws (that didn't come with the case or any other computer components) that would be large enough for the fan but small enough to fit through the smaller threads in the side fan attachment.

Once I got everything in and installed into this case it's a beast so these Cons only apply while setting up your system.

Other Thoughts: CPU Duct is useless if you use a larger sized heat sink but if you do that the extra cooling is probably not needed anyways so it's not a con for me.

I got a mysteriously part with my case. It's painted black and a little thinner than a 3.5 bay. It's open on the bottom and the back and the front is sloped down. On the side it says <- Open | Close -> and I have no idea what it's supposed to be for! I enjoy the mystery though :P

Since the cons only apply while setting up your system I think the case still deserves a 5.

Excellent Case

Pros: The case is very well designed for excellent airflow, giving me much lower temperatures than expected. Nearly every piece of hardware has thumbscrews and can be easily added or removed, and the entire case generally exudes the feeling of quality craftsmanship.

It looks very plain, but the brushed aluminum looks very good, much better than in the pictures.

Cons: If size is a problem, make sure to look at the dimensions of this beast.

Other Thoughts: If you have the money and space, buy it.

Pros: its a big open case that uses the space well. It is light and will hold a lot of equipment. I don't like cases that compartmentalize and try and force wires through holes in the dividers.

Cons: this is petty, but since you can mount the PS on either the top or bottom, I want the cover plate for the empty bay to have fans for more airflow.

Other Thoughts: it is spendy, but you get what you pay for.
