Pros: Stable, price is right and has all the nessasary options for my single video card system.
Cons:
This MB doesn't support PII 9950 or PII 9850. Please look into supported CPU list in Gigabite website.
With a long video card, will block the IDE connector.
Other Thoughts:
FYI : this MB has SB600 and the Bios ver. 1.0. If your MB has SB700, then it's ver. 2.0. thus you can't change that. This board came with F2 bios and I had to upgrade to F7 to use Phoenom II CPU.
This MB support up to 140W CPUs.
Pros: Intuitive layout; everything on the board was hooked up in minutes. Onboard audio, LAN, and USB ports are great.
Cons: This motherboard seems to be picky about 800MHz vs 1066MHz RAM speeds. Be sure to review Gigabyte's list of compatible memory before purchasing RAM.
Other Thoughts:
To find compatible memory, check out the PDF available here:
1. Go to gigabyte's homepage
2. From the header menu, rollover "Support & Downloads"
3. ->Motherboards
4. ->FAQ
5. Option 2: GA-Mxxxx, GA-MA770-DS3 (rev. 2.0)
6. Click "Memory Support List" on the right
Pros: solid caps ..... great layout ........ craftsmanship . great over clocking options .
Cons: north bridge gets hot . 1066 only recognized with phenom cpu . even though o'clock options are plentiful.... seems a little picky . almost as if its a little weak . says its supports phenom . not very stable with my 9850BE . i think this is a better board for dual cores, even though its advertised as being phenom capable . 125-140 cpu's may have trouble on this one . i couldnt get my 9850 to run stable at stock clock speeds .
Other Thoughts: this thing is great ..... dependable if your gonna stay with a dual core . just gets a little finicky with a quad core . i was using this with a 5400BE with multi of 12.5 and fsb of 256 . seemed to be the sweet spot for me .
Pros: This is a great motherboard for the money. Solid state caps make this very reliable and in the price range you cant go wrong.
Cons: none
Pros: The Gigabyte MA770 was very easy to install and setup. Using the BIOS was also very simple with the ability to overclock the processor without a problem. If you are thinking about purchasing this board, do so you will have made a excellent choice.
Cons: None
Pros: Fairly intuitive overclocking controls in the BIOS. Smart fan controls work so long as your processor gives off the right temperatures (not a problem with this board, of course). An impressively useless amount of SATA ports. Digital audio out is nice. Drivers and other useful things are included on the CD (including a paid, Kaspersky anti-virus install, though that's only going to last until April '09 it seems). Upgrading to more recent drivers on the Gigabyte website is easy though download speeds for the US seem to peak at about 50KB/s despite whatever connection you have (only slightly inconvenient). Included instructions are detailed and useful.
Cons: No on-board video and the price for a 780G board is only slightly higher. Only two SATA II cables which is inconvenient if you order more than two SATA II devices OEM.
Other Thoughts: To the guy complaining about not having enough USB ports: there's six of them in the back plus the connectors for an additional two in the front so I do not believe the majority of end users will find an issue about this.
Pros:
Plentiful amount of features
Mine came with a sata power adapter, which was nice
Running solid on Ubuntu 8.10
Cons: nothing I can think of
Other Thoughts: No onboard video i think. doesn't matter to me since i have a 9500gt with this mobo.

Pros: Ive been using this power supply for over two years and despite countless power outages and blue screens from a bad video card, a defective power supply dying from a power surge whilst hooked into the mobo it runs just fine. Also i have an older case so the smaller size of the mobo worked well. I have v2.0
Cons: Onboard sound didnt work, but optical onboard did, no help from gigabyte really and it wasnt worth an rma. I just use my old audigy 2 and it works fine. Runs a bit hot I think because of everything being packed around the proc/north bridge area and poor heat sinks.
