Pros: It was a fair card
Cons: it died on me.
Comments: I built a system 4 years ago and the graphics run smoother on that machine. What a shame. You'd think this card would work well on an Asus Rampage 3 Extreme MB.
Comments:
I was very skeptical at first after seeing the reviews on newegg. But my card is working perfectly and i love it!
If you're going to buy this card, it would be pointless to do so if you're only going to play on a 1920x1080 resolution. You're better off with a 580 for that purpose. However if you are interested in running with 2560x1600 or even 1200' that is what this card is intended for as well as triple monitor nvidia surround setups, which is what i bought mine for. Also make sure you have a GOOD case with more than sufficient airflow, more or less one with a side fan blowing directly onto the GPU.
Comments:
I have been building computers for more that 15 years and I know that this card can be OC but Seeing that there are no games out that this card can not handle at this time, try to resist from over clocking it, there just no need to void your warranty just yet.
If you buy this card, save your self some grif and just enjoy it.
Comments: I originally built my computer with a Radeon 5970 card. I will never buy another AMD video card again. It was the biggest piece of junk ever and a waste of $750. It never ran smoothly and would crash ALL the time. I finally got mad and bought the 590 GTX and I have not had any problems. Running all my games at ultra high video settings without the slightest bit of lag.

Pros: It did what it said, it continued to work and pump out some serious graphics. I was able to play Grand Theft Auto V with it (GTAV) and it handled it no problem at all.
It is capable of playing a lot of the more modern titles without any issues at all.
Cons: -It stopped working a day after the warranty expired..
-Horrendous overheating issue even with proper cooling.
-Needs new thermal paste a few months after use.
-Upon replacing thermal paste the heat-sink had damage marks on it from the assembly line.
-Easily bricked upon a firmware update to prevent meltdowns.
-Memory clock is unstable at default and underclocking makes it more stable. (A degree of knowledge is needed to actually make it stable.)
- It is a power hog.
- Finding a water cooling block for it is near impossible.
- Did I mention overheating issue? It idled at 136-142F with proper ventilation.
Other Thoughts: Wait a few months before you buy a graphics card or motherboard online. Never go for the newest model that just comes out. I bought my two GTX 590's upon their release and I ended up regretting it.
Despite the overheating issue being in every GTX590 the ASUS ones I have had have more serious issues that I doubt the company will take the time to look into,
Wait a few months and watch the market before you make any purchases. You will end up saving a lot of money if you do and not stressing about the quality of the parts.
