Great for new builds or upgrades, the AMD Radeon RX 550 graphics card delivers the best price-performance ratio at its price range. Based on the 4th generation GCN architecture, the Radeon RX 550 is manufactured using 14nm process, and features 512 stream processors, 2GB/4GB GDDR5 memory and 128-bit memory bus width. It delivers beefy performance to tackle the popular e-sports and MMORPG games in 1080p resolution with high detail settings. In addition to DirectX 12 and Vulkan support, a host of gaming-enhancing technologies are built in, like Radeon FreeSync, AMD Virtual Super Resolution(VSR), AMD Eyefinity technology, helping optimize your gaming experience in your favorite titles.
This GIGABYTE Radeon RX 550 D5 2G model is slightly overclocked to 1195 MHz Boost frequency (1183 MHz for reference card) in OC mode, and features semi-passive fan that stops spinning at low load or idle status. This is also built using Ultra Durable 2 components, ensuring unbeatable stability and reliability you can count on even in the heat of gaming.
GIGABYTE Custom-designed Cooler
The custom-designed cooler introduced a 90mm unique-blade fan along with 3D active fan-stop functionality, delivering an effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures.

Unique Blade Fan Design
The airflow is spilt by the triangle fan edge, and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface, effectively enhancing the air flow by 23% over traditional fans.
3D Active Fan
The semi-passive fans will remain off when the GPU is under a set loading or temperature for low power gaming. It allows gamers to enjoy gameplay in complete silence when the system is running light or idle.
Built Strong
Ultra Durable Components
Engineered with high-quality chokes and capacitors, this graphic card delivers outstanding performance and durable system lifespan.
Smooth and Crisp Visual
Equipped with one Dual-link DVI-D, one DP, and one HDMI port, the card can deliver beautiful and smooth 4K video playback.

During peak gameplay, Radeon Chill works to deliver the full framerate potential of Radeon graphics. As movement decreases, Radeon Chill reduces your gameplay framerate. Designed to save power, lower temperature, and increase battery life, Radeon Chill enables high performance graphics when you battle and saves power when you explore.
Pros: The price for this card was acceptable for the specs.
Cons:
I had this car in the box for 3 months before I needed to use it, and it failed directly out of the box.
Item only Warranted for 30 days.
Other Thoughts: I would note recommend this unit. I would recommend purchasing items that are guaranteed longer than 30 days
Pros:
-Runs cool (max. temp. hit is 71C)
-AMD software is pretty good
-Runs games nicely (considering the price)
Cons:
-Is cheap & feels flimsy
-A little loud imo
-Not a great overclocker (1350Mhz/1950Mhz) (25Mhz higher on either GDDR5 or the core and games would crash.)
-Orange accents
NOTE: The RX 5xx series aren't good overclockers period actually. Even a binned card can't seem to achieve over 1450Mhz (in a stable manner) I don't expect this card to be a great overclocker, but, it's a con nonetheless.
Other Thoughts: I think people with a tight budget will enjoy this card. Personally I bought it simply to have something to play games on while I wait for Nvidia's next line-up. I'll snag a card as soon as it releases, 'cause miners.
Pros:
video card passthrough in hyper-v
Max TDP: 50 W;
Cons: not find
Other Thoughts: I build a home server. it works as a server in most time. however, i want to plan game a little bit sometime. I do lots research. AMD video card can set pass through in virtual machine. NVIDIA blocked the function for game video card in server. finally, I can play Civilization V in hyper-v.
Pros:
1. This card runs cool and quiet, even under heavy load.
2. Runs high frame rates on every single e-sports game I threw it at, and that was without any overclocking.
3. Beats out my former Nvidia GT 1030 across the board, from frame rates to lower temperature, it's a superior card.
4. Easily overclocks, no issues with heat or excessive noise here.
Cons: Only one. It's a bit overpriced by around $10.00, the RX 560 is only around $10.00 more making this a not so great value.
Other Thoughts:
Honestly, this is more than enough power if all you play are e-sports games, that's all I really do, so it's more than enough for me. It's a better performer than the GT1030, so if deciding between the two, go for this one. This particular card runs with zero glitches and is cool as a cucumber under load, so I do indeed recommend this one.
I just wish it were priced just a bit lower, as it's value is eroded a bit when you realize that an RX560 (admittedly a pretty stripped down version, but still...) is only 10 bucks more....but I still like the performance I'm getting here, and don't regret buying it at all.
Pros:
-Fan is quiet
-Runs Arma 3 on standard at 40-60 FPS
Cons: -560 is just a hair more expensive for alot more power
Other Thoughts: Got one for my dad so he could run basic games. I gave it 4 eggs just because that 560 is right around the corner, if you can you should go for that instead.
Pros:
-Overclocks effortlessly
-Fan is virtually silent even under heavy loads
-Better (in my opinion) than the NVidia GT1030
-Very easy to dial in anisotrophic filtering and full-screen anti-aliasing for amazing depth effects and smoothness.
-Runs beautifully without external power connector
-Have now purchased several Gigabyte video cards and have had ZERO problems with any of them!
Cons:
-not a time machine
-doesn't shovel snow
Other Thoughts: Used this card to supercharge a very old 3GHz Core-2-Duo system with 4GB of DDR2. I was NOT disappointed!
Pros:
Eons better than my old card.
Quiet even when fan is on.
Gets me able to actually play a few newer(ish) games where before my computer would just laugh at me and crash the game.
Cons: Took a long time for the drivers to install. May have been my fault for going online to get them instead of using the disc though.
Other Thoughts: The bracket or plug or guard or whatever you want to call it covering the DVI port was a pain to get off. Shouldn't be a bother though if you use HDMI

Pros: Good fan control including stopped fan at light load. Good range of outputs and resolutions. Low power consumption, runs cool. Decent linux support.
Cons: While the fan is quiet at low speeds, high fan speeds are insanely noisy.
Other Thoughts: This is a good choice for office / work systems that are not video or game intensive, particularly if there's no embedded graphics capability in the CPU. It runs cool and quiet for general display work, web video, and the like. I wouldn't choose it for heavy duty gaming, rendering, or GPU computing, of course.
