Pros: Worked well for 1. 5 years.
Cons:
Fan died and not covered under warranty since you have to register within 30 days of purchase.
STAY AWAY.
Pros: I can run World of Warcraft, Battlefield BC2, and any other game I've tried so far with the graphic detail settins on high and handles it fine.
Cons: My fan was always loud, and eventually died on me. I had to RMA it and am currently waiting on my replacement. Looks like this is a major problem with this card in particular, everyone's fan craps out.
Other Thoughts: If I could go back and spend the amount I paid when this card was new I would've bought something else and saved myself a hassle.
Pros: Looked Great online.
Cons: Worked for about 4 weeks till the card started to over heat. Seems as if the GPU heat-sink has come a bit loose and is letting air in. Called EVGA and they told me there is nothing that can be done if the card is overheating. Blamed it on my case's air flow. The support rep even went as far to say that i should put a Desk Fan pointed in my case. SOOOO if you want to open you case up and hang a bunch of fans off your desk THIS IS THE CARD FOR YOU!
Other Thoughts: This is my 5th EVGA card that has failed me. They use cheap parts in order to get the low price on the market. You would be better off spending the little extra money and going with a better brand.
Pros:
*Capable of running my dual monitors at 1920X1200
*Lasted nearly a year and still going strong
Cons:
*Loud fan
*Video playback lags sometimes in HD. I am probably pushing the limits of the card with just my high resolution video work.
Pros: Good For Something. Frame rates weren't very good for World Of Warcraft.
Cons: Fan went bad after about 6 months of use. ARGGGGGHHHHH
Other Thoughts: Good for a paperweight.
Pros: It does a good job on most games out there. It has a lower 512mb ram so it isn't very good on high resolution like 1080p. I have a 1080p and 1280 by 1024 monitor and it works great at 1280 by 1024 resolution. I have done games like Crysis(not warhead) at medium (at 1280 by 1024 No AA or AF) settings and it stays at right around 40 fps and high settings(same res with no AA or AF) at 27 fps, CoD 4 maxed out at 1280 by 1024(full AA and AF on) at 45-50 fps. Shift maxes out(same res) at 35-40 fps. In all I'd say if you are looking for a midrange card for under 95 than the 9600gt is a great card just keep the resolution down it does very well for the price you pay. Although because the my fan was stuck on 100% it never got above 48C in any test that I did, idled at about 32C.
Cons: Would not recommend this particular card because the fan went bad on it after 4 months and had to RMA. And the fan, for some reason, on my card has gotten stuck on a 100% all the time and vibrates like crazy also. And there isn't any program that will turn my card's fan down even when the program said it was changing it the fans pitch never changed. I can hear it over music and a Antec 900 case with all the 120mms on.
Other Thoughts:
I thought that the fan going bad was interesting for a video card to do but found that it is quiet common for this 9600gt to do so. So unless you want a pretty high chance of it doing so for you I would not suggest getting this 9600gt. I give it a 4 egg because the fan on this model is cheap.
For the frame rats above my computer specs(I've always found it helpful when people say what kind of computer they have not just the frame rate):
AMD X2 6000+
Foxconn a7gm-s
4gs ocz 667(pc54000)
Antec 900 case
Pros: It arrived intact
Cons: It was dead.

Pros: This card is unstoppable! I've owned it for 3 years now when it cost an arm and a leg, now the price is a third it used to be. It runs all the games I own on max settings! Does GFX manipulation programs like Vue 5 Infinite and Autodesk's Inventor like a pro.
Cons: I've had this card for 3 years and it could use a tad more frame rate on Starcraft 2 and Crysis. So I bought another today. I'll be SLI'ing these babies in a week.
Other Thoughts: Don't forget to get new drivers! It made a world of difference in Vue 5 Infinite and Starcraft 2.
This card is the best thing I can find for the price. Buying two of these would equal what the best card out there is, for a third of the price. If you're looking for 'new stuffs' save your cash and get the same performance with 2 of these.
I have never had a problem with EVGA. Ever. I swear by the stuff. Asus motherboards and cards have exploded on me.
