No worries

Pros: A lot better than a GeForce 8600. Plays all games from Arma II to Flight Sim X. Can run most of the settings on high for those 2 games. For TF2 and CS it's maxed out. Shouldn't have to replace for a long time. Plus free Batman game was pretty sweet.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Make sure you measure the distance from the back of your case to the hard drive en-closer holders. I had to move everything from PCI cards and hard drives to other spots.

8800GT -> GTX 275

Pros: Easy install, slightly bigger than the 8800GT, no problems yet(been 1week).

Cons: it wasn't free

Other Thoughts: I noticed a pretty decent improvement from the 8800GT, for playing games like Dragon Age: origins it seems my dual2 core 3.0ghz is actually the limiting factor now O_o I can't keep up with the technology heh.

GTX 275 >>> GTX 260

Pros: - Handles anything I throw at it (For specs junkies: WIC 1600x1050, maxed out 16AA, 16AF at ~ 45 fps, COD 4&5 (maxed out, 1600x1050) at more than 40 fps, Fallout 3, 1600x1050 maxed out at > 50 fps, Crysis Warhead 1600x1050 at high on DX9

- Great price/quality

- Can generate large molecular graphics and resolve complex series of tri-dimensional algorithms in no time

-Upgrade from my 8600 GTS

Cons: - Runs hot. You will read it a lot, and it's 200% true: Gets up to 75°C on most demanding games. Hopefully my Antec Nine Hundred case can evacuate most of the heat, keeping my system under 30°C, but if your case doesn't operate with a good air circulation, you might want to reconsider your options (at least two 120mm)

- I had some trouble with the mail-in rebate (while there was one): I sent it on July 26-27th and today (October 9th), it still hasn't passed. 12 weeks later. Disappointed, but completely unrelated to the card itself

- GIANT CARD WARNING ! (not really a cons, but to take in consideration) In my Antec, I had to remove the black grill for the extra fan to set this monster up. Also, make sure your connectors aren't in the way of your PCI Express lane.

Other Thoughts: I had the choice between the GTX 260 and the GTX 275 and I preferred to spend 40$ to get it future-proof. Reviews might say the 260 is extremely similar to the 275, but that's just a bunch of false stuff

- The fan constantly runs at 40%. You will probably never notice it and I HIGHLY recommend you don't lower it: I accidentally tried once (0% fan speed), got the card to 110°C before nTune warned me. It gets loud near 60% but it will never get there (except with manual tweaking).
To resume this, the fan's speed doesn't matter.

I upgraded from a rapidly aging 8600 GTS which couldn't handle any of these games above 35 FPS at medium settings.

It's a must

Great upgrade

Pros: -Handles everything you throw at it.
-No noticble noise difference from my XFX 88GT, which it replaced.
-Fits barely, but it fits in an Antec 900 (original)

Cons: Compared to the 8xxx series, it's a mammoth. I'm uncomfortable bending/creasing my SATA cables, etc... around the edge of it. So I'll have to purchase some SATA cables with 90-degree ends.

Other Thoughts: A great card if you don't have the budget to SLI. Also, came with Arkham Asylum at my time of purchase...great game to show off the power of the card.

Pros: Nice Card for a great price
(at least when i bought it, it had a MIR, that made it for about the same price as a GTX260)

its a Stock GTX275. so not much to expect. except what you would expect from a GTX275 =)

Cons: the PCB on the back is Green.
if a good looking computer is of an concern, this might be a turn off.

the audio port does not have a rubber plug to close it up when you are not using it.

Kicks ATI's rump

Pros: This is an amazing card, I got it when newegg had a sale for 189.99 w/ free ship. So I sold my other 9800GTX to buy another 275 for an sli setup.
This card when paired up for SLI will almost out perform a GTX295. I get Vantage scores of over 25,000 with these cards overclocked correctly. I have had absolutley no issues for 4 months so far, and am well pleased at PNY, and Newegg.....Oh and Nvidia which whoops ATI anyday...just a fact

Cons: Can you believe it...NONE

Other Thoughts: AMD PhenomII X4 955 3.2GHz (OC'ed to 3.8Ghz)
Foxconn Destroyer (from Newegg) Love it!
8GB Kingston HyperX PC2-8500
Coolermaster V8 (cooler)
thermaltake V9 Black Edition Case
Four 400GB segate 7200.11 drives in RAID0
One 300GB seagate 7200.10 drive DATA
22' HP monitor
Wolfking gaming keyboard

In response to Imran:

Pros: -Runs almost anything out there on max to near high settings.
-Good price per the performance ratio.
-Cheapest 275 currently available.
-PNY actually responds back to customer emails

This review is actually a response back to Imran. The reason why your 275 is not providing the boost of performance that you want is because your motherboard is most likely limiting the speed of it. Make sure to check if it is running it on 16X speed and not 8X (could possibly be running lower since all you mention is it's an older motherboard).

Cons: -Runs Hot since it is using more powerful cores (Nvidia) instead of multiplying the cores (ATI).
-Large, but if you have a full tower than shouldn't be a problem.

Other Thoughts: Good card for the price ratio to the performance.
