Pros: Quality midrange card that will simply get the job done right. It works flawlessly with Ubuntu 8.10 + nvidia's latest binary drivers. Temperatures stick around 45-52C under load. Fan noise is negligible. Just a great buy.
Cons: None that I know of.
Other Thoughts: As for people talking about how big this card is I have to beg to differ. I have a Zotac 9800GTX, now that is a truly huge card, twice as thick and around 2 inches longer. So to me this card is a midget. But if your used to to low end cards its length will be longer than your used to. Tight fit maybe but its all good :) BTW for some motherboards long video cards may block some SATA ports, and if your like me that actually use more than 4 ports, just buy a right angle SATA cable. Itll be tight, but it squeaks by under the card :D
Pros:
It fits in my case ... barely.
It looks pretty sophisticated, and comes with a full card heat sink.
Cons:
Buyer beware!
This card has only four mounting holes, and they are not sized to any standard.
If you are wanting to water cool, you are pretty much out of luck, as this card has four holes and four holes only, as where most other cards have several sets of holes.
Other Thoughts: While this is probably a good card, the fact that it has only four holes makes me feel wary of this card and it's manufacturer, as they are making it extremely hard on the user to install third party cooling solutions.
Pros: awesome card plays every game i have thrown at it.
Cons: none i have had it for a little over a year now and not a single problem :P
Other Thoughts:
550 watt power supply
2.6 dual core processor ocd to 3.0
geforce 9600gt now two just got second one in today
ZOTAC AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI HDMI ATX
AMD Motherboard
2 gb of ram not alot but works for me
Pros: Brought my Vista rating to 5.9.. .And as always... Newegg rocks with shipping... free and FAST!!!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: DID NOT NEED THIS!!! I dont even game but was looking into playing Call of Duty 4... the only reason I got this bad boy is cause I thought I had an awesome system... Vista rating showed everything at 5.9 except my gaming graphics etc... it was a 3.2 so needless to say I got caught up in the rating... installed it with 550psu and its working like a champ... vista score 5.9... YEAYA!
Pros:
Contrary to some other reviews, ths card is actually not too loud (once the drivers are installed). Its barely louder than my old 8400GS that it replaced, but quieter than my old 450w psu. Fan speed is controlled automatically at 40% and keeps noise down.
Idles at around 40 degrees celcius in my case (actually no warmer than my 8400).
Brought my vista rating to 5.9 for both gaming graphics and aero.
DVI-HDMI adapter is great (my monitor is VGA).
Cons: None. The card arrived at home today and installed just 2 hours ago. Its not time tested but i expect it to perform when needed.
Other Thoughts:
Very good card for the price (especially when compared to the higher priced 8800).
Its powered with a Corsair VX 450W psu.
This card is huge. On my M2N68-LA IVY-GL6, it spans the entire length of the board, so be prepared to make room. Luckily it cleared my integrated gpu heatsink, just barely.
Pros:
*Very powerful card
*Great price
*Ran FarCry2 at max settings
*Adequate cooling
*Dual DVI w/ DVI-VGA adapter AND DVI-HDMI Adapter
*On-board spdif output for HDMI connection
Cons:
Well,
it worked.. for a little over 1 day. I got the card in the mail Saturday morning and installed it. All was well until Sunday evening came along. After gaming with it for hours on end playing 10+ different games I came home that evening only to get BSOD saying NVLDDMKM.SYS error. After hours of researching it turns out that the problem was with nvidia drivers. It this cards defense i was using the drivers that came on the CD (n00b i know) but that wasn't even the real problem. I decided to just reinstall Vista x64 and noticed that there were screen interference lines and artifacts even while in the BIOS & during the entire windows install.
Other Thoughts:
It's such a shame because when it worked, it worked really well. Before it crashed I would say it's the best video card for the price I've ever used.
Now my next decision is to figure out if I want to stick with Zotac or venture elsewhere
Pros: great price. great card.
Cons: nope
Other Thoughts: this was overkill for me, since i dont do a lot of gaming. i felt the need to upgrade my video since i upgraded everything else. i chose this for the 256 bit chipset.

Pros: Pegs out Vista Experience at 5.9!
Comes with every adapter you need. HDMI, S-Video, and Component adapters. Runs extremely quiet if in low power mode (only if you don't have a PSU capable of supplying full power; auto detected).
Card is approximately 9" long and is a true single slot. Won't interfere with neighboring slots. Needs good case ventilation not necessarily air flow.
Runs warm when playing movies not hot. I don't use it for gaming so can't say how hot it will run on full load with full supplied power.
Absolutely amazing for HTPC if you can fill the space and minimum power consumption requirements. 9" long x 300 stable/ 350w peak.
Cons: Rumor is there will be even lower powered 9x cards (9600gt/9800gt) coming out soon called "Green Edition". Unfortunately I couldn't wait for them and had to build the HTPC now. My only con is it's not an even lower power consuming card... :\
Other Thoughts: Believe it or not I have this installed in an HTPC Antec NSK1380 case. The case is only 11" long so it barely fits. The Antec comes with a proprietary 350w PSU and this card has not shut off my system once because of power consumption. First time I booted up nvidia driver displayed a message about running in low power mode because I didn't have the power adapter plugged in (molex). It then got dead silent and I thought it froze but that's just how quiet the low power mode is. Awesome feature! Will run in a low power consuming HTPC. I only had about 100w free to play with too so it's running within that range. No way to test exactly how much. For gamers recommend at least 400w PSU.
All 9x series cards are rebranded 8x with low power mode, native HD video capability, and slightly better processor. For that I think the 9x series is def better than 8x.
