There are six 8-pin PCIe power connectors so you can build up a CrossFire or SLI system using today’s high end video cards. Keeping it all cool is a temperature-controlled 140mm fan. Air is vented through the hexagon mesh back panel. The universal input accepts voltages from 90V to 264V so you no longer have to worry if the switch was in the right position.

Failed after 2 years

Pros: Good while it lasted.

Cons: Purchased in 2015, it lasted for 2 years and then random computer crashes. Asus Z97 PRO, I74770k, HD7870, G.Skill Ram, replaced it with a EVGA and haven't had a problem since. Unfortunately I did not keep my receipt so my loss.

Other Thoughts: Buy EVGA, much better product.

3.5 years still chugging

Pros: high power output
reliable
semi modular
nice packaging

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have left this unit on nearly 24/7 for 3.5 years, it has had no issues at all. I had it powering a GTX 780 (Now a GTX1080 FTW3)
Never had an issue, if you can get this unit, get it, it will last you a ton of time and withstand a ton of abuse.

Great while it lasted.

Pros: -A variety of cables that have a nice mesh around them, that leaves a professional look inside your system.
-Cable length is just right for ATX motherboards, to easily route the cabling neatly.

Cons: -The power supply died prematurely with only two years of non-stressful use.

Other Thoughts: -After troubleshooting, the +12v was getting readings of below the 11.4v and would eventually cause the computer to freeze, restart, of shutdown abruptly.

Great unit

Pros: Does what is supposed to do, might be one of the best out there.

Cons: None in my experience.

Other Thoughts: I have had this unit for almost 7 years and then it started acting. I noticed it when PSU could not power up my GTX690 anymore, so my 2 screens were going black after like 10 seconds after restart. I RMA it with no problems at all, since it was under 7 years manufacture warranty. The only drawback is that the time to replace it might take 30 days, unless you contact them through phone or chat support. Otherwise your ticket would be just sitting there waiting for nothing. I'll be getting the same one newer model, which is fully modular 850i model.

Worked for 4/7 years of warrenty

Pros: It worked for 4 years.
Lots of cables.
Corsair customer support seems to be pretty good.

Cons: It broke before the warranty finished.

Other Thoughts: Replacement seems likely.

7 years and still going

Pros: I've used this in two builds over 7 years now. Just calculated the hours of usage since I pretty much leave my system on 24/7 and it's only about 65% through the MBTF rating and the 7 year warranty is just now up. It'll probably get replaced in my next build due to its age, but if the new Corsair PSU's are anything like this one, I'll be buying another of their PSU's for sure.

This has been rock solid stable for the last 3 years with my Maximus VII Formula board running a 4790K @ 4.4Ghz and an EVGA GTX780 SC along with various drives, lighted USB devices, etc.

Cons: No issues with it

Other Thoughts: Would definitely recommend this if they're still making it and you need a PSU in this wattage range.

Incredible PSU

Pros: Very well made PSU. You can tell even by just holding it that it's made with quality insides. I work as a tech out in the field, and a common thing I see is terrible PSU's. I absolutely love everything about this one. I run a high end gaming rig, and needed power. This one delivers that and more! Completely modular.

Cons: I really have none at all. Nothing. Nada.

Other Thoughts: *YEARS LATER*

This PSU is still holding strong. I have since bought many other Corsair PSU's all the way up to 1200w. I am using my latest one in a Ethereum mining Rig!
