Cable Management Optimized - Cooler-Running Computer Guaranteed!

While cable management feature is commonly found on premium power supplies, the Thermaltake TR2 500W power supply features elongated cables that are 17% longer, on average, than other power supplies in the same class. The longer cables allow each cable to be routed in optimal location to prevent airflow blockage, thus dramatically improving the overall thermal efficiency of the computer, not to mention aesthetics as well.

Good product, easy to install, enough power connectors for 3 HDD, 1 SSD and a DVD.

Pros: Lasted well over the course of almost 5 years on a 24/7 cycle. I installed it the computer I use as my HTPC. Relatively quiet; didn't intrude on sound quality when watching TV.

Cons: Not quite sure if I should categorize this as a con but it decided one day, thankfully before the 5 year warranty expired (actually 4 years and 8 months), to snap/pop and die....right in the middle of the big weekend of College Bowl games and the last weekend of the NFL season.

Other Thoughts: I'll hold recommendations until Thermaltake decides how to recompense me for the power supply. I had to pay to ship it to them on an RMA, so the verdict's out.

Just a cheap basic PSU

Pros: Quiet.

Cons: The most significant one is that the voltage regulation is pretty bad.

So far, so good

Pros: -has keep my i5-6600K with a MSI GTX 1070 running for over 6 months without interruption (system is up 24/7)
-not exactly silent but quiet enough

Cons: -isn't modular but what do you expect for the price
-none thus far

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this PSU for non gaming build or a gaming build with more recent hardware (Intel Skylake and Nvidia 10xx series).

Noisey

Pros: worked well but noisey

Cons: noisey... replaced a 5 year old Antec but it was so noicey that I have to put the Antec back in.

Other Thoughts: It works well and would recommend if noise is not an issue.

Garbage

Pros: price?

Cons: First one was dead on arrival. Its replacement died in 2 days.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my brother as he needed a new power supply. The first one I received was dead on arrival, so I requested a replacement from newegg. The replacement died after a few days of light use.

Id stay away from this particular unit...

Pros: it'll work for a couple months maybe?

Cons: Died after 6 months
No way this powers multi gpu's

Other Thoughts: Bought mine elsewhere, was used for 4 months by the original owner, I have a copy of his receipt.

while during a 6 hr gaming session my PC completely turned off and refused to come back on. The PSU itself was remarkably hot, so much so it was uncomfortable to touch for long. some how it shorted and burnt up.

Next day I took my rig apart, jumped the power pins on the PSU but it would no longer turn on.

Tried to RMA it but the warranty is non transferable, almost like they know they sell shoddy stuff, and once the original owner finds this out he has to resort to selling it to some poor schmuck in order to get his money back and purchase a proper PSU
