Perfect

Comments: Great processor. Ruffly half as fast at full load (video encoding) as my wolfdale core 2 duo 3.2 ghz. I put this in a build for my grandmother. This machine will be the ultimate "email viewer". Paired with the graphics built in with this chip, grandmas computer was only $300.

Awesome!

Dam thing died.

Pros: Exellent Performance, Low Power usage and reliable, will suit an office like enviroment, and the Built in HD graphics are more than enough for HD web video (you tube), IE9 will take advantage of the built in GPU acceleration.

Cons: Dam thing dies after 6 months of nonstop usage, it was installed on a CCTV system, First I thought it was the motherboard which was an all solid capacitor model, it turned out that the CPU did not survive a power surge/spike, I'm hoping Intel Honors the warranty.

Other Thoughts: Intel CPUs are a realiable brand, this is the first time I had an Intel chip fail, a very rare event.

Good choice for mini-ITX

Comments: I am using these in an HP Pavilion Slimline mini-ITX build, and found the stock cooler too noisy (plus it ran hot). A Silverstone NT07-775 solved the problem.

Good, but better available

Comments: I put this in a Habey 600 case. Second build with this case. First one used a 2100t, and now this one. Temps are about 10c hotter than the 2100t. I installed a 40mm silent fan on the side and temps are now similar to the 2100t which doesn't use a case fan. It's good, but since the fan was $10, the price difference is now less than $45, and I think it may be better to go with the i3 for future builds in this super small enclosure

I call it Core2 Duo+

Comments: For the price difference between the Pentium lineup and the higher end Core i5/i7 models, you get a performance that is better than you would expect. The Pentium lineup has earned its name again, and packs a decent punch.
Get it if: performance of a Core2 Duo on a motherboard with new features like USB 3.0, and SATA 6Gbps.
Skip it if: you need heavy multi-threading, or A/V extensions, i.e. a Core i5/i7.

Get it if you need a low-profile HSF

Comments: At idle, the G620T consumes the *same* amount of power as other Sandy Bridge CPUs. SpeedStep downclocks all desktop SB processors to 1.6GHz during idle, and Intel's aggressive power-gating means that extra cores do not consume extra power during idle. Compared to my i5-2400 (quad core), my G620T (dual core) in the exact same case/board consumes only 1W less during idle. Where the "T" difference kicks in is the lower maximum clock and TDP, so that this CPU does not overload the cooling and PSU of tiny systems (e.g., systems with a 60W picoPSU). But many boards (like one of the boards that I have) let you underclock a CPU and set a TDP limit lower than the factory setting. If you have one of those boards, you can underclock the CPU and lower the maximum TDP allowance and get the exact same results.

So the only time it's worth paying the (small) price premium for a T CPU is if you need the low-profile HSF (1.4cm shorter) or if your board does not let you downclock.
