There is no going back now....

Pros: -Matches great with my Vega 64
-Smoothness is such a relief.
-Paid 309.99CDN and feel it is absolutely a good bang for my buck. If you can find it cheaper, all the more icing on the cake.
-I don't notice any input lag.

Cons: -If you are using this for anything other than gaming, it might be a little disappointing in the colour and viewing angle department.
-Freesync and 1ms MBR cannot be enabled together which I guess kinda makes sense.

Other Thoughts: I am currently running a FX-8320 (OC-4.4Ghz) with 8GB of ram and a Gigabyte Vega 64 8GB and a 500gb WD ssd for my game drive to put things into perspective. One day I will upgrade more substantially, but this rig just won't die. I was trying to find something that would scratch that upgrade itch and think I have found it!

I would be one of those fellows that remembers the days of Quake and Unreal Tournament on the 'ole CRT. I remember, even to this day, the smoothness of my voodoo3. Oh how I miss the good old days! I have continued to play over the years on the med/low end of lcd monitors ( no offence BenQ GL2460....you served me well.)

I am a cheap fella and I was always on the fence about this 144hz black magic that I saw while I was lurking on the internet. Now there is no way I can go back. If you are juggling the idea of better resolution vs refresh rate, I would choose silky smooth goodness of a high refresh rate. The better the video card the more you are going to benefit from this upgrade.

If you need the 1440P or 4k experience, then this is not going to be your jam obviously.

I was always having trouble making out details as a was moving my view left to right searching for threats only to be destroyed by something that was right in front of me. No longer shall I be the easy pickings for the 12 year old children that are somehow playing all games!

TLDR; high fps + 144hz = Flipping the tables on children that usually wipe the floors with my sad, old carcass.

I think I have made my point...

Pretty Good

Pros: Colors and contrast are amazing without blacklight stabilization
144hz is nice
Motion blur reduction works extremely well

Cons: Took some work to get things right
Required me to download the ICC file from LG website to get colors right
Custom profiles don't save properly

Nice Upgrade

Pros: Was on sale for almost half price - what a bargain.
Has all the features I needed.

Cons: The menu button being the power button.
Preset buttons waste perfectly good menu button locations.

Other Thoughts: The reasoning for my issue with the power button is that I prefer a separate button that has a light so I can find it. There is an entire row of preset buttons and it could have been put in that spot. The screen is so bright I couldn't read the buttons, a little backlighting would help there.

Just minor quirks, at full price they would bug me a lot more. I also upgraded from a pre-hdmi/DP monitor, can't complain in comparison.

Great buy

Pros: Plug n play
No frills (your money goes into quality rather than gimmicky leds)
Screen quality is great
Very sturdy, was messing around with it trying to find the power button, dvi cable is very yankproof.

Cons: Dvi cable could be longer
Power button hidden under the picture modes panel.

Other Thoughts: Great product so far.

Great Monitor

Pros: -Bright (I've had notoriously dim monitors previously so this is actually nice.
- Worked straight out of the box.
- No tearing or dead pixels

Cons: - The only thing I've found is that the stand it sits on is a bit touchy. Other then that though its an amazing monitor, though i may be less picky then most.

Other Thoughts: I bought this item direct from LG not through Newegg and have never had a single issue with the monitor.

Decent product

Pros: 144mhz refresh
AMD Freesync
Nice base
Good range of motion

Cons: Controls are a hot mess to set up the colors and brightness. I actually hooked up my older monitor to try to help calibrate the colors and brightness. First off you HAVE to DISABLE the 1ms motion blur stuff or you will get wave like lines on the monitor. Way to go LG... then you have to use the gaming "black stabilizer" in conjunction w/ the menu settings to try to get the brightness correct. Brightness.. did i say brightness. They way the monitor ships its at 100% max for brightness and sharpness. Its like staring into a super nova at noon.

Next up we have blackness and whiteness. I've spent 2 or 3 hours trying to get this thing just right and its no easy task since you have to work in the main menu AND the gaming menu (remember that black stabilizer?)
Its not a bad monitor but I just do not ever remember in my entire 25 of computing having to spend this much time trying to fix a product. Having had LG monitors before I'm very iffy on this one. Maybe its b/c I'm old and cantankerous or maybe it is just b/c I know what I like.

A bit too expensive for what it is

Pros: +144hz is great. Very minimal to no screen tearing.

+/-Dark Stabilizer is more of a gimmick for games, but it's actually necessary to rectify some of the monitors contrast issue. By default it's at 50 which kind of makes blacks grey. Turning it down to 40 makes blacks closer to black, but can make some games a bit hard to play.

+The Colors are alright for a TN panel. They're nowhere near good, but it's not so horribly off that it becomes a real issue.

+Adjustable height

+Multiple connection options

=No dead pixels. Kind of sad that has to even be mentioned as a pro. I feel like that should really be standard nowadays.

+Built in crosshair is kinda neat, though I never use it. It's a little distracting.

Cons: - -There's a weird issue where if the monitor is set to 60hz, the colors become extremely dirty. Like everything gets a brown hue to it. This can obviously be rectified but having the monitor set at its native 144hz resolution, but playing certain games that lock 60fps this can be an issue. Dark Souls 3 for example looks awful on this monitor.

-The "colors" are alright, but the contrast is horrible. Blacks are very much grey at most times, and it's hard to get a true white. Usually the closest is a kind of offwhite with a slight yellow tint.

-Viewing angles are horrible. That's expected with TN panels, but it's especially bad. If you even slightly slouch back in your chair colors instantly start to shift. Granted this is a gaming monitor, so a majority of its use is spent in a fixed position anyway.

- - - -The extra buttons on the front are worthless. Not only are they not helpful, they're detrimental. Setting one of the preset gaming modes makes the screen look like a 90's flip phone, making the images extremely grainy and discolored. Best to just leave it on custom at all times.

Other Thoughts: I really wish there was a 144hz 24 inch IPS monitor that wasn't curved. I genuinely can't use anything less than 100hz after getting so used to it. 60hz just feels awful, but having to sacrifice picture quality for speed is a bit of a letdown.

If you can find this monitor on sale, as in sub - 200, I'd say it's worth it as long as you know what you're getting in for. For its current price of around $250, it's definitely not worth it.

Best monitor I own

Pros: Runs at 144hz perfectly fine using the appropriate display port (do some research on HDMI cables and display ports people, hmdi 2 has issue with 120hz +). Freesync actuslly works well with my 6700k, 1080ti.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Seriously, people need to do their research. 144hz will flicker with an older hdmi cable. Ive tested it. Hence why I have a display cable connected = best quality.
