Does this work with Verizon?

Although I've never used Verizon, I do know that these companies will "recommend" that you get a specific modem/router. I can tell you that every time I've used my own modems, they have worked. You may not get the speeds they "recommend", but that's a marketing technique. You will not complain about connection speeds.

"Can the MAC be changed to the one using my old router?" This makes very little sense. 'the one' and 'MAC' are abstract, we don't know what you mean. Also changed how? Assuming you mean 'Can my MAC address be changed to the MAC address of my old router' Then yes, but the built in software is difficult to use in the extreme.

I haveTime Warner as my Internet provider. I have a 20Mb package and am thinking of upgrading to their 30Mb service. Is this modem compatible with their service?

On the TW site you can download a supported/compatible list of models. This model is supported at the 100Mbps category.. which means anything below is ok.
