QuietComfort 35

Our best headphones yet
You wanted wireless QuietComfort headphones. So we re-engineered them with Bluetooth technology and our world-class noise cancellation that makes quiet sound quieter and music sound better. So you can just listen. With nothing in the way.

It's magical to the ears. But it's not magic.
You feel it at the flip of a switch-noise fades, and your music soars. That's the power of our Acoustic Noise Cancelling technology, which continuously measures, compares and reacts to outside noise-then cancels them with the opposite signal.

See how it all fits together
How did we seamlessly merge Bluetooth and noise reduction technology together without compromising our premium audio performance By obsessing over every detail.

20 Hours Unmatched battery life
They say you can't get long battery life from wireless headphones. We say, "Try ours." Enjoy up to 20 hours of listening, enough time to pour through this entire playlist. And when it finally runs down, a quick 15-minute charge gives you another 2.5 hours.

Built better
When you want to take your music anywhere, you need headphones built to keep up. With impact-resistant materials, glass-filled nylon and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, they're engineered to survive life on the go.

Materials matter. That's why the QC35 headband isn't just soft, it's luxurious. Wrapped in Alcantara-the soft covering material used by prestigious international companies in various applications, like yachts and high-end automobiles-it provides a welcome comfort designed for all-day listening. The ear cushions are manufactured from a synthetic protein leather, and have a silicone bead for passive noise reduction.

A great product to enjoy for a long time

Pros: It lives to Bose's brand with great sound quality and comfort in a convenient package. I would give it five stars for its sound and construction quality.

Cons: The build in voice sounds very robotic and unnatural. Bose should make an effort to make the voice sound natural and intimate, e.g., use deep neural network, WaveNet. It should fix the problem right away.

Excellent headphones

Pros: 1- Reasonable price for quality
2- Very comfortable
3- Sound is superb. You have to spend a LOT more money to get any improvement IMHO.
4- Wireless bluetooth rocks
5- Be aware that if you are older and have any hearing loss at all (like I do, sadly), it is a waste of money to spend $3K on headphones when you cannot hear the highest highs or the lowest lows. Most older people have lost range in the treble and perhaps a bit in the bass also. Hearing loss is a real thing, young people, fyi.

Cons: They aren't free ? LOL

Other Thoughts: Buy them, you will be happy.

Excellent noise canceling and outstanding sound.

Pros: This is an update to a review I wrote. The latest software update to QC35 introduced ability to regulate active noise cancelling (ANC). Now you have 3 choices:
- High - Highest level of noise cancelling.
- Low - Level "fine tuned for audio listening in quiet or windy environments"
- 0ff - No ANC. With no ANC, the bass sounds the best. The sound is the fullest and richest.

- Lightweight.
- Fit over my (large) ears.
- Comfortable during prolonged wear (like overseas flight).
- Hard case included for stowage.
- Blutooth Pairing is very easy.
- Wired/Wireless options.
- Noise cancelling is excellent.
- Mobile iPhone app allows for turning off voice prompts, adjusting auto-off timer, viewing/managing pairing history, downloading software updates to the headphones, etc.
- 20 hrs rechargeable battery life.
- As a frequent flier, these headphones definitely increase my comfort level while in flight.
- Bose periodically releases software updates and new features to this flagship product making it even better.

Cons: - Battery not user - replaceable.
- No equalizer support.

Other Thoughts: I was looking into premium ANC headphones. I have a set of older headphones that are "on ear". I found out that with prolonged use these "on ears" would start hurting my ears. Hence, I was looking for "around ears" headphones that I can use for prolonged time on my overseas trips. Frankly, I only considered Dr Dre's Wireless studio, Sony MDR-1000x and QC35. Dr Dre's were heavy and ANC was not that great but the real deal beaker was pronounced hissing that was always on when music was not playing and they were not that comfortable. Sony's MDR-1000X were extremely comfy, the sound (including bass) were top notch and the ANC was outstanding. Sony overstuffed MDR-1000x with technology though. The headphones always "talk" to you and there are are lots of "touch" controls on the phone. Sony's are by far the most expensive.
I decided on QC35's and I have not looked back. Excellent sound, ANC make these headphones a top choice for my needs.

Great when they work, did not last for me

Pros: First, I did not purchase these here on the Egg, buying from a local bricks & mortar store instead.

I travel. Frequently. Having good noise cancelling headphones makes all the difference between arriving in semi-human condition vs. feeling every possible insult today’s airlines dish out. I have owned most of the Bose line dating back to their original cans. Before now, I have not had one fail. What finally kills them is the black faux-leather covering flaking off, making you appear to have a seriously bad skin problem.

The QC 35 headphones seemed near-perfect. The sound will not impress an naudio snob, but it is far superior to anything Bose produced before. Noise reduction has always been a Bose strength and, in the QC35’s, it is amazing. Airplane and traffic drone, office noise, nearby construction - all fade into a distant murmur. There is less of the weird pressure on your ears noise cancelling sets produce.

The QC 35s are lightweight, fantastically comfortable and battery life is easily enough for a trans-pacific flight, including layovers. When the battery finally does run out, you can use them (without noise cancelling) with a cord. Finally, the headset firmware is upgradeable. That ended up being a mixed blessing at best.

Cons: The old saying “No highs, no lows, must be Bose” applies to the QC 35s, albeit to a lesser extent. Sound reproduction is distinctly better than any n/c headphones Bose has made before. For use in any environment that isn’t quiet, particularly if you are not concentrating fully on the music, they work well… Until, that is, you crank the volume on a bass-heavy track. Then distortion takes over in a way that no Bose I’ve ever used does. If mellow music, played moderately is all you listen to, you won’t be bothered.

Firmware updates proved to be problematic at best. When the Bose app updated my first pair of QC 35s, the headphones were bricked. Return, try the update in the store, success. Then the second QC 35s randomly refused to pair with phones, tablets, laptops - pretty much everything. Return again. QC 35 #3 stopped working in the right ear during the first flight I took. QC 35 #4 bricked during firmware update at the sales counter. QC 35 #5 was perfect, then hissed and popped when noise cancelling was enabled after the firmware update. QC 35 pair #6 lost bluetooth connectivity when I put my phone in my pocket. Six headsets all failing in just over a month. I gave up.

A final annoyance is that noise cancelling is always active with bluetooth connections. If you are listening to something at night with headphones on to not disturb your significant other, noise cancelling is neither necessary nor comfortable.

Other Thoughts: I ended up trading the Bose QC 35 headphones for Sennheiser PXC 550 cans. The Senns cost ~$20 more than the Bose, are slightly heavier, and don’t have the same magical level of noise cancelling. On the plus side, they sound better, do not require an app to control all settings, and have an adaptive noise cancelling that dials in more n/c in loud environments. I also appreciate that the PXC 550s have a touch pad on the right ear for volume, playback, and phone conversation control and even enabling the external mic to amplify speech while keeping n/c enabled. Perfect for getting interrupted or needing to have a brief conversation. Most importantly, the PXC 550s have continued to function flawlessly for six months.

Fantastic sound but other things could be better

Pros: Fantastic sound quality and noise canceling. I have a fairly loud heater with a vent right next to me and didn't even notice that it turned on when wearing these, took them off and it surprised me that the heater was on.
Very comfortable

Cons: Short cable for wired mode (less than 4 feet)
When plugging in the wire for wired mode you have to do it quickly or it bugs out and goes back to wireless mode
Provided charging cable is only a few inches but since I already had like 12 different micro USB to USB A cables I just use one of them
Wireless mode introduces a very noticeable latency which is fine for listening to music but very annoying in videos and gaming (I have yet to find any wireless headset which doesn't have this issue though)

Other Thoughts: Best headset I've found so far, way better than the one I replaced with it.
