STAY COOL. STAY TUF

Built to deliver extreme cooling performance, the MasterAir MA410P TUF Gaming Alliance Edition is a RGB cooler co-designed with TUF team. It’s armed with Cooler Master’s Continuous Direct Contact Technology 2.0 that significantly enhances the efficiency of heat transfer. Coupled with 4 heatpipes, your CPU will run stably at full speed without thermal throttling. The cooler also features a MasterFan 120 Air Balance RGB fan and includes a wired RGB controller, letting you personalize your cooler with 16.7 million color options and various effects.

4 heatpipes with Continuous Direct Contact Technology 2.0

Compared to its previous version CDC 1.0., CDC 2.0 creates 45% more contact surface area on cooler base by compressing heatpipes together. It significantly increases heat dissipation capability and outperforms its predecessor.

Optional Push-Pull Fan Configuration

To avoid dynamic losses and help accelerate heat exhaust, an additional MasterFan 120 Air Balance RGB fan helps pulling heat away faster from heatsink.

Countless Colors and Effects

With a sturdy MasterFan 120 Air Balance RGB and our wired RGB Controller, MasterAir MA410P is ready for more than 16.7 million color options and tons of fun effects to play with.

RGB in the Palm of Your Hand

A compact RGB LED controller C10L is included to let you easily customize your RGB devices without the need for either an RGB capable motherboard or software. With six pre-set modes, seven color options and five brightness levels, you can have the colorful rig you’ve always wanted with just the touch of a button.

Snap and Play

Intuitive fan bracket design makes upgrading and removing the fan a breeze.

Great 1st impression, definitely a keeper

Pros: 212X-like hardware, 34+ degrees cooler than the stock Wraith Spire on OC'ed Ryzen 2600..
Fan is unexpected quiet maxed out. Lots of mounting options
Assembly takes less than 20mins if you know what you're doing

Cons: Plastic backplane, may not hold up as well over the long run.
Assembly less intuitive than the 212X or EVO - actually had to peak at the manual :)

Other Thoughts: Haven't even tried the RGB lighting yet
But impressed so fan

Essentially a Hyper 212x with some aesthetic changes.... but thats not really a bad thing

Pros: Looks great and matches my TUF styling build with the MasterBox MB500 TUF case and Asus TUF x470 mobo. If you look closely this heatsink is just a slight alteration of the Hyper 212x with the included X-shaped cut-outs by the heatpipes and the V-shaped dimples in the center to direct airflow. The main difference is the anodized aluminum plate at the top for decoration and a slight change in the mounting system. All that aside everything else is the same but it still cools my Ryzen 5 2600x very well keeping the temps below 50 C usually averaging around 45 C under most loads. I should note there isn't an overclock on my CPU but overall the temps are very acceptable. The RGB controller works well enough but I prefer using the RGB socket on my mobo and the fan's colors are pretty sedate for an RGB system.

Cons: The mounting system while very diverse can be a little confusing with all the components for different socket types.

Other Thoughts: If you were to use this for a non-TUF style build it may not match your theme but I think this is personally a better value when compared to other TUF-themed heatsinks.

Very easy setup, great performance

Pros: Fits most cases without issue
Great cooling performance
Fans are surprisingly quiet given size
Quality is spot on
RGB!!

Cons: It's not water? Not really a con, I knew it was an air cooler :D

Other Thoughts: This is a great cooler, and the setup is inline with other coolers of this type. Installation is dead simple, and comes with everything necessary to fit a variety of boards. The aesthetics are really nice - RGB just puts it over the top - and it looks great in a case with a window or plexiglass case.

I've used this cooler in 4 different cases, and had no problems with the size. The fans are very high quality (no need to buy replacements) and move a ton of air, but are surprising quiet given the size. The actual cooling performance is spot on, and even manages to keep my 4790K running very cool, where it is typically a challenge.

A great cooler - easy to drop in, excellent performance, and it looks niceeee!

Nice looking Setup

Pros: I installed this on my ASrock Fatal1ty X99X Killer Motherboard With the
Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E6-core 3.3GHz LGA ProcessorInstalled without a hitch. Kin of a pain having to pull everything out for this review but gives me a good chance to do some deep cleaning.
Everything fit Good with much hassle at all. My old CPU cooler was getting 29 to 30 Celsius idle 45 to 50 Celsius I am now getting a little better temps but I also hadnt changed my thermal past on this build for at least three years so the new thermal past may have some effecr on the temps. I am now getting 27C to 29C temps to 43C to 47C. This is a very queit setup. I like the looks of this cooler and it is a little smaller than my last one and also has a little higher profile. Which is nice because installing ram has always been a pain with this build. I usually only use Artic Silver but used the supplied thermal paste to do this review.

Cons: I didn't have any real cons at all.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this cooler.

Excellent Cooler, Good Looks, but some limits

Pros: I installed this on a Ryzen 5 2600 on an MSI B450 Carbon. It's a good looking HSF with a very nice fan. The included RGB switcher is useful in cases of boards that don't have an RGB header. Installation isn't the best, but I've done this enough with 212's I've installed in the past, that I'm used to it. Speaking of the 212, the cooling seems to be a bit better than a similarly configured 212 (1 fan vs 1 fan). I had a 212 on hand and the copper pipes look a tad thicker on this than on the 212. Design wise, if you like the 212, this is very similar, but with a different fan than what is typically packed with the 212. The top looks different from the 212 I compared it too, the MA410P's black finish looks real nice.

Cons: Design wise, the heatsink-fins themselves look very similar to the 212, but have little crosses horizontally which may help with air-flow. I did find that the CM-MA410P came with what looks like to me is an Air-Flow style fan (close together fins) while the CM 212 I compared it to has a Static-Pressure fans. Not exactly a con, as I found performance similar to a CM-Hyper 212, just an observation. I wish that this came with two fans, as while you can find a close enough looking fan from Coolermaster themselves, I'm unable to locate an identical fan to the one included. I've always set up my CM-Hyper 212s in Push/Pull, it's just a shame I'd have to use a different fan from the included one if I wanted to set it up as such. Install is also similar to the Hyper 212, in other words, it can be a pain. You can argue price. If you just want performance, you can get the less fancy, but similar Coolermaster Hyper 212 for a bit less.

Other Thoughts: I may have had some cons in my list, but I still like this HSF. It runs cool and looks good. It's quieter than a CM-212 and works as well. The lighting is beautiful and the included controller is useful. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good looking HSF and you have a side-window and want to show it off.

Solid Heatsink; minor nitpickings. 410P ~VS~ Spire

Pros: Relatively simple installation; especially if you've ever installed a Hyper 212.
Compatible with nearly any CPU released in the last 8-10 years.
Under full load of stock Ryzen 5 2400G the fan is never heard.
Unusually long fan header cable; ~10 inches.
Rubber vibration dampening pads on fan.
RGB fan if you're into that kind of stuff.
An impressive variance of RGB effects
'Remote' included for said RGB lights.
Package wasn't impossible to open.
Bracketry for 2nd fan included.

Cons: Cooler Master's site advertises the RGB remote control as "In the palm of your hand". This is only true if you have a compatible motherboard from ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI or ASRock. Additionally, your options are very slim if you are an AMD/AM4 user limiting you to Gigabyte/MSI. If your board isn't compatible, 'palm of your hand' couldn't be further from the truth as it requires a bulky molex power connection from you PSU. I can onlly see this complicating a neat/tidy wire installation if you want the controller to be even remotely close to easily accessible to alter the lighting effects. My B350 ASRock board was not on the compatibility list.

It doesn't appear you can buy the exact fan this heatsink is bundled with separately. It is a MasterFan Pro 120 Air Balance, but it has the yellow rubber vibration dampers at each corner and the TUF Alliance decal/logo on the hub of the fan. If you wanted to pair them up exactly you would want to be purchasing the MA410M TUF as it is bundled with the 2nd fan and has more in the RGB LED department for the same premium of $20 as just purchasing another similar fan.

Potentially the mounting bracket? I feel like there could be more tension between each 'click' of the 'scissors' bracket so you don't keep changing the position accidentally.

Other Thoughts: I conducted a short and sweet temperature comparison on my Ryzen 5 2400G. It was not using the stock Wraith Stealth, but had an upgrade to the Wraith Spire LED. The Wraith Spire, which came from my Ryzen 7 1700, is more than commendable for a bundled heatsink considering you can get away with mild undervolt/overclocks on Ryzen 7 chips. Many people are actually selling the Spire and/or Spire LED heatsinks on e8ay fetching between $20-$40..which is crazy for an included OE heatsink. So I thought how would this box cooler, that somehow fetches up to $40 on e8ay, stack up to this $40 offering from CM?

Spoiler Alert: Not half bad.

The Wraith Spire was already sufficient for the duties of this particular system, but this heatsink came to me as an Eggxpert review and seemed like the right place to let it strut its stuff. The Ryzen 5 2400G CPU/GPU were not overclocked and ALL settings were letf to stock/auto in the BIOS of the ASRock AB350 PRO4.

The computer was left to idle for 30 minutes to get an accurate temperature baseline in my office which is approx 22C ambient. I then ran CPU-Z stress test for 15 minutes. 15 min idle. Unigine Valley for 15 min. 15 min idle. Final Fantasy XIV Benchmark for 15 min.

CPU Wraith Idle: 26
CPU 410P Idle: 22.8
12.3% improvement

CPU-Z Wraith: 69.8 MAX 67.7 AVG
CPU-Z 410P: 63.6 MAX 61.7 AVG
Both 8.9% Improvement

CPU Valley Wraith: 54.1 MAX 39.4 AVG
CPU Valley 410P: 48.9 MAX 37.5 AVG
9.6% and 4.8% improvement

CPU FFXIV Wraith: 55.8 MAX 36.4 AVG
CPU FFXIV 410P: 49.1 MAX 32.8 AVG
12% and 9.9% improvment

Now GPU Temps:

GPU Wraith Idle: 25
GPU 410P Idle: 23
8% improvement

Valley Wraith: 48 MAX 35 AVG
Valley 410P: 43 MAX 33 AVG
10.4% and 5.7% improvement

FFXIV Wraith: 42 MAX 34 AVG
FFXIV 410P: 38 MAX 30 AVG
9.5% and 11.7% improvement

While these aren't massive gains by any means, one must consider this is not the Stealth cooler that is shipped with the 2400G. The review site TechSpot did a short review comparing the AMD Stealth, Spire and Prism heatsinks on a Ryzen 2600. At stock settings the Spire performed about 10% better than the Stealth. While this is obviously not apples-to-apples, similar results would probably be had on the 2400G. SO, if you take the improved thermals I experienced and tack another 10% on, you would have respectable performance gains. And, lets not forget if you were to be overclocking, the 410P is obviously going to best the Wraith Spire.

Long story longer...While the 410P is clearly superior, the Spire put up a good fight for an OE cooler. Additionally the Spire can fit in ITX/mATX places the 410P would not. Overall it is a solid piece providing silent cooling, fancy RGB, and some TUF decor if you happen to be sporting a matching ASUS board.

Cool looks, Cool action.

Pros: Relatively simple to install,
Looks great,
More than a match for the stock Ryzen Wraith cooler.

Cons: None as yet!

Other Thoughts: Install in an existing system could have been a bit of a headache but fortunately my Ryzen system is in a case that has a fairly large access port underneath the motherboard so I didn't have to extract the motherboard from the case. I'm very much a believer of if it ain't broke don't fix it and if the access port hadn't been there this would have been put in a somewhat lowlier system. However, once installed it didn't disappoint, cooler temps, like 15C cooler under load, with the added benefit of sick (that's what my youngest grandchild said) LED effects. It is also quieter than my Wraith was, not in idle as the Wraith is pretty silent but under load the difference is definitely perceptible. All in all a very good cooler with great aesthetics.
