Does this card also have an internal USB 3.0 port? It kind of looks like there's one on the back of the card, but the specs don't say anything.

No. There is no internal USB port. The port you see on the back of the card is a SATA power connection port. You'll need to connect a SATA power cable from your power supply to this port for the unit to work.

Question 2

Does this USB4300NS USB3 controller require a power supply?  After I plug this controller onto a PCIe-1 slot, my USB3 flash drive doesn't show up in my Dell desktop PC even though I went to the SUNIX web site to download the driver and installed it.

Yes you have to connect it to your power supply cable... you will need to open up the case and insert a cord from the PSU (power supply unit) to this device in the back area. It looks like a little slit.

Question 3

does this work with windows 10 64 bit and does it require drivers and if so are they compatible with windows 10 64 bit?

It's been working fine in my desktop I upgraded from Windows 7 Pro x64 to Windows 10 Pro x64.  It didn't ask for new drivers when I upgraded.  It's one of the few boards that has the connector on it to attach the USB 3.0 ports built into the PC case.

Question 4

Will this card fit next to my GPU? I have an Asus P8Z77-V LE with a Gigabyte HD7950.

In theory, yes, it should fit just fine, although tightly, just above your video card. Keep in mind other factors may play a part like your case design and how clean of a build your PC is. If all the cabling inside the case isn't routed cleanly they could get in the way of a proper install.

Question 5

Will plugging a USB 2.0 device into one port drop the other ports to USB 2 speeds as well?

I have a 2.0 webcam plugged in, and a 3.0 external harddrive enclosure. The 3.0 is still giving me 3.0 speeds.

does this need a power connection to work or will it run right after plugged into the pci express slot?

Will this card work with Windows 10? I am under the impression that Win8 & 8.1 drivers work with Win10, but haven't tested personally.

Sorry, don't know. I would guess it would. I
run 7Pro and won't change until I don't have a choice. 10 is for the cellphone icon generation.

Question 8

Will plugging a USB 2.0 device in one port make the other 3 run at 2.0 speeds?

Not to my knowledge. As I understand it the 3.0 is backward compatible so a 2.0 can run on this card. Each port is individual and is not connected to how each other operates therefore the other ports would not be affected by how a any one port is used.

Will these ports work with Avermedia ExtremeCap U3? Will it transfer 1080p. Also does it always need connection to the power supply?

I would not work without connecting to the power supply. As to the other question, I do not know.

I have an Asus Desktop CM5571 series, 64 bit system. Will this USB 3 work with it?

Hi Karen, yes it should work just fine. If you remove the side panel of your tower you should see a long blue slot on the mother board, just above that is a small white slot, this card will fir into that slot. Just remember to remove the bracket on the back of the tower corresponding to that slot so the USB ports can protrude from the case properly. Once it's plugged into the motherboard you'll need to plug in a S-ATA power connector to the back of the card. The 
S-ATA power connector is a thin, flat, black plastic piece shaped like an L. It's the same kind of plug that is going to your hard drive and your DVD-ROM drive from the power supply.
