Not a lot. 512MBs of memory provide for bigger texture loads in games and less frame studder.


Runs very hot!!! Constantly locking up, Vista reporting GPU errors and games freeze up.

Other Thoughts:

Got two of these for Crossfire, had to RMA one immediately for lock ups. Received a replacement, same issue occurring and now the second card is acting up too. If I use a third party utility to downclock the factory setting of 850MHz to 800MHz and increase the fan speed, they are much more stable. But why should I need to do this? You would think HIS would have better quality control for testing these overclocked cards, and possibly programm the ROM for faster fan speeds to remedy some of the heat issues. Stock out of the box, Catalyst reports these cards running above 80 Celcius when 3D is active, they're not stable with the core above 75 Celcius in my opinion. I even ran these in my second (slower) PC, same issues with an entirely different setup. Do yourself a favor and stay away from factory overclocked units!
