Good Video Card! 06/17/2008
This review is from: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 2600PRO 512MB GDDR2 AGP 8X Video Card 100217L
Pros:
This is a excellent Agp card to have. I have a Single Core Processor ( AMD 64 bit socket 754 2.2 ghz ) . I used to run a Geforce 6200 256 ram agp. And its runs every thing twice as fast, if not faster. COD4 would get any where from 15-50 fps. Now with this card i get 50-130 fps. Counter Strike Source runs great with AA 4x now, as before i never used the option. So for older computers, i would recommend this card ( if you have the proper power supply, i use a 480w)
Cons:
The driver that came with the video card installed fine. But when it comes down to getting into the Advanced part of the video card ( the Catalyst Control Center) it doesn't even show that i installed it. So im not sure what thats about. And when i try to install a hotfix it doesn't even see any of the Drivers.
Overall Review:
Other than the Drivers not showing up and being able to update them this is a wonderful card and im very pleased with it. But i have read that the 8.6 hofix is supposed to be the FIX that every one has been waiting for to fix all the problems with the drivers. So we shall see.
