dd-wrt enabled 08/13/2008
Love dd-wrt on this router. First day after unpacking the router, I voided the warranty by installing dd-wrt v.24 micro. Lot of routers (other brands) reboot automatically, but I have not encountered that problem with this router. Only reason I installed dd-wrt is to use dns-o-matic (free) to update my ip address, so I can connect to my computer remotely.
After changing any major settings router blocks access to configuration page (sometimes, not always). Need to unplug and replug the power cable. Don't worry, it won't reset the router. Again, all with dd-wrt. It's not a big deal since it's not linksys's fault and you hardly need to change settings on routers (not a everyday job).
Don't install dd-wrt standard. Only micro works best. You won't miss anything, trust me. In case you mess up the router with dd-wrt, there is always hope until you smell any burning chip. Google search how to de-brick wrt54g. Looking forward to get a gigabit dd-wrt router in future when price becomes <$50
