Worked OK, Died too soon> 09/04/2008
This review is from: NETGEAR WGT624 Wireless Firewall Router IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11b/g
Worked well most of the time. Got 108Mb connection to laptop downstairs.
The connection between the router and my DSL modem died suddenly after about a year and a half. I could get to the router setup, but not to the internet. After a fair amount of troubleshooting the modem (which was working fine and is at least 4 years old now) I realized it had to be the link port on the router. I plugged another one of these in (happened to have an extra) and I was back up right away. I hope this will last till I can find a good deal on another brand.
The instructions on the setup guide are inaccurate and/or missing some steps. I ended up tossing the stupid sheet aside and set it up manually faster. A detachable Ant would be nice too. I had to restart this router about once a month on average, which was about half as often as my old Linksys.
