A few things to remember 11/04/2008
This card is more than adequate for most games. There were a few quirks when I put it in. For some reason afterward the internet wouldn't work, nor the sound. I figured it might be the card but it turned out I had to reinstall the drivers for the onboard devices. So I went and did a motherboard chipset and drivers upgrade anyway. Also, remember there is a power plug on the card itself that has to be plugged in.
The card, as people have noted, takes up two slots. When I couldn't get my onboard networking going, I bought a cheap PCIE network card, which helped. I was able to put back the sound card in the slot where before I had the net card.
Nothing good seems to come without some struggle, various fixes, and it is never more true than with computers and devices sometimes. Check the internet for problems others have had with their installations.
