- 450W Power Supply
- Triple 120mm Cooling Fans
- 1x 80mm HDD Cage Slim Fan
front fascia broken 11/21/2008
The 120mm fan is a definite plus. This is way quieter than a case with an 80mm fan. The included power supply is also surprisingly quiet for a generic one. Installation of hard drives and optical drives is very simple with the tool-less rails. There was enough of the rails included to install all of my 4 hard drives. The orientation of the hard drive bay is also a plus. Makes it easier if you are doing raid 5 and need to rebuild on a new drive after a failure. It is semi-hot-swap-able. You just need to unscrew the case lid to get to the drive bay. The bay doesn't interfere with memory or graphics cards like the traditional setup. My case came with 4 thumb screws for the side lids.
Most of the clips that hold the front panel fascia to the case were broken off and rattling around in the case when it arrived. Only 2 out of the 6 clips were intact. The 2 SATA connectors from the included power supply barely reach the hard drive bay. I had to use Molex to SATA extensions in order to connect my 4 hard drives. If you order this case and have more than 2 SATA drives, make sure you add 1 or 2 Molex to SATA adapter cables to your cart before you check out.
The door covering the front panel USB and audio ports is annoying. There is room for another 120mm fan in front of the hard drive bay. If I was buying this case again, I would make sure I add an additional 120mm fan added to my cart before checking out. One weird thing about the front panel connectors is that the power LED connector is a Molex. It doesn't connect to the same pin out area that the power and reset buttons do. And their is no HDD activity LED as far as I can tell.
