Stable, fast, but tricky 01/19/2009
This review is from: XFX MIA78S8209 AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros:
Stable and fast. ESP 12v connection. 4 dimm slots. Overclockable. Gigabit ethernet. cool chipset heatsink. I love everything about this board.
Cons:
This board was designed for the more advanced level build, so look elsewhere if you don't have a lot of experience with bios tweaking. For example, you will have to manually set memory timings, bandwidth, and voltage for pc8500 otherwise it will run at spd with default voltage. If you feel comfortable with bios operation then this thing rocks.
Overall Review:
I think the top PCI slot is too close to the PCIex16 slot to fit a card in there under a video card with a thick fan/heatsink. Also make sure that your power supply is eps12v capable, aka 8-pin 12v connection.
