This review is from: split fish GAMEWARE Split Fish Wireless Dual Frag Pro for PS3
I finally got it after much anticipation. I read the reviews, I googled for optimal settings (didn't find any), and I charged it to my newegg card. Everything is going to work out, right?
Upgrading the firmware is a little complicated for a console user. I could do it, but it just doesn't feel right. This is a controller for a console. OK so after upgrading the firmware and playing with this, it truly does feel like it emulates the analog stick movement. In no way did I ever get the feeling I was playing with a mouse. I felt like I had a mouse sitting on top of the PS3 joystick. Quick and smooth motions are nonexistent. I think playing with this new controller made me better at using the analog sticks. I spent $30 on batteries, $100 on this controller. I move my mouse up in the game, it goes up and to the right. I move it down, it goes down and to the left. Changing settings hardly fixed this problem at all.
This thing sucks and I feel like an idiot for every trying. A mouse controller for the PS3 IS too good to be true. It feels nothing like a mouse on the PC. I used it for a couple hours and I have given up. I think I spent more time with the firmware than actually playing with it. I came back to it after one use and now it's dead. Now I have to ship it back. Once you know...you newegg...or you try to.
