2 out of 5 eggs Not Impressed 09/07/2010

This review is from: Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote

Pros:

Does what it's supposed to do with the XBox.
Turns most TVs on and off and changes volume.
Don't have to worry about it going to sleep and shutting down.

Cons:

Less control than with the game controller (front buttons on controller do cool things, too; give it a try sometime).
Limited range and field of view on IR sensor.
Limited usuability with TV.
My Philips universal remote does almost as much with XBox and far more with my (Philips) TV and DVD player and has programmable buttons.

Overall Review:

I borrowed this from a friend as he does not have Netflix and that's what I do most with my 360. I was quite underwhelmed. I quickly learned to wake up my wireless controller and use it instead and keep the Philips universal remote handy for the TV and occasionally for the XBox.
