Bios Amnesia 12/02/2010
This review is from: ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Very nice motherboard. I like the layout. There's plenty of room for large CPU coolers. Using a CAFA70 only one RAM slot is covered. There are quite a few OC controls.
Everytime I remove power from the PSU (disconnect AC), the next boot the POST will say "MemOK succeeds in booting" and it clears almost all of the BIOS settings. Looking at the Asus forums, this is apparently a common problem for which Asus provides no solution.
It still always remembers the time and date at least. There is some speculation that it has to do with video cards that have PCI-E power connectors tripping the CPR for some reason. I have two such cards in my setup.
