This review is from: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester 1.8 GHz Socket 939 ADA3000BIBOX Processor
I may be the only one to give a bad review so here it is... My processor now sits at 40-50 idle and 50-60 under load... Thats way too high. But I just got a bad chip I think... If I was to buy this processor again, I'd buy it. AMD is so much better than Intel no matter how much my processor temp. raises. AMD's 128 kb (64+64) L1 cache vs Intels 28 kb (16+12) is one of the reasons why their faster... Their also faster because AMD has a more developed instruction pipeline making it do more per clock. Dont believe that AMD's 1.8 ghz processor is slower because its a lower clock... Thats the MHZ myth. This processor beats the Intel 3.4 ghz processor (Benched it and it beat it) and it overclocks to 2.5 ghz.
I give this a 3 out of 5 (3 because I got a bad one, Otherwise, would have givin it 5)
