This review is from: Lord of the Rings: War in the North Playstation3 Game
Pros:
This was better than I thought it would be. Truthfully, I bought it because its LOTR and coop. I blew through the campaign on single player, actually couldn't stop playing. That's not to say it doesn't have cons, but overall this game is worth Neweggs $36 pricetag. I enjoyed the story, even though it isn't technically LOTR lore accurate for sure. The powers are cool, and then replayability is pretty high so far.
Cons:
Customization as a whole isn't great for an RPG. Some people don't care, some do. I'd like more options for customizations. I also felt like it was anticlimactic. Last boss seemed easy and the last two levels felt short, including ending instantly after boss fight. Also, the fighting system, while good enough, seems too simple. I enjoy games where you can get a more varied combo system than just, quick strike until you get the heavy strike combo icon.
Overall Review:
Game has some flaws, but none that ruin the game. I'd really recommend this to anyone, though I'm not sure super hardcore RPG enthusiasts would enjoy it.
