This review is from: PowerColor Go! Green Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 CrossFireX Support Low Profile Video Card (UEFI Ready) AX5450 1GBK3-SHEV4
Pros:
Good specs. I wish it had displayed video.
Cons:
No video. If there is no video, that is pretty much end of story.
Overall Review:
I recommend caution to owners of older PCs that are looking to beef up their systems with this card. I followed the instructions and even spent an hour downloading the right driver. Their web site is slow. But it was all for nothing, because I got no video when the system powers on. Dark screen. And yes, I checked the BIOS and made sure that video output was routed through PCI-Ex rather than internal or PCI. I tried three times, with the rule three strikes and you're out. Now it's time to RMA.
If the card does not work very well with older systems, I don't really see the point of its existence, since new systems include HD 5450 graphic capability on the APU. I recommend that people simply upgrade their motherboard and cpu. That is what I wish I had done, and what I will do next after I get my refund for this clunker.
My system:
Windows XP 32 bit
AMD Athlon X2
2 gigs DDR2 memory
One hard drive
One CD-ROM
MSI K9VGM-V motherboard
300 watt Seasonic p/s
