Dead after 1 week of use, RMA'd 07/03/2012
Worked great for the 7 days that I used it. Cords are sufficiently long that I can wire them through my Corsair 400R case's rubber grommets, in behind my motherboard, and out again through the grommets. Packaging was excellent, but it's not the packaging that makes the PSU; it's the PSU that makes the packaging.
Fan is a little loud. I expected it to be somewhat quieter. This PSU bricked on me after 1 week of moderate use in a case with great air flow, as well as in an air conditioned room. Seeing as I'm 1 of a handful of people experiencing a dead PSU after a few days to a weeks use, I'm going to have to conclude that Corsair has quality control issues with their products. Either their manufacturing process is sloppy, or they're using cheap parts, possibly cheap capacitors.
Corsair, I wish I could have loved your PSU, but the negative reviews show that even people who got replacements had their replacements break down on them. To be honest, that doesn't make me feel too comfortable about getting another one of your PSU's. Went with an NZXT 750 Watt PSU instead, but I will keep an optimistic eye on your products in the future.
