A Very Nice Step Up From A GTX 260 08/25/2012
This card is such a major step up from my EVGA GTX 260, it's hard to believe I waited this long to upgrade. Not only does it do things my 260 couldn't do, it does it at higher frame rates and with less electricity. The cooler on this card is amazingly effective and about as quiet as a fan cooler gets. The 660 is idling at 32-33C vs like 59C for my 260.
There are plenty of reviews out there, if you want to see benchmarks.
This card was already hitting the sweet spot for bang-for-buck even before they threw in a free copy of Borderlands 2. That bonus really sealed the deal for me.
Price (but what do you expect with an enthusiast card).
Location and direction of fans can means it will likely be blowing down over your other expansion cards (a minor consideration for space/air flow in your case).
I'm trying really hard to think of any cons that are actually likely to have any effect on a purchase decision but I'm not finding any.
I spent a lot of time worrying over whether I'd be happy with this card or not. Now, I'm wishing I hadn't wasted so much time worrying.
