Comfort, Clarity and awesome design 10/18/2012
This review is from: Phiaton Black PS 210 BTNC Bluetooth 3.0 Active Noise Cancelling Earphones
Comfortable earbuds with a variety (4) of different shapes/sizes and with one choice using a different material that do both active and passive noise canceling.
You get to control if active noise cancelling is on or off.
Microphone (just so people are clear) so that you can make voice calls.
Awesome sound quality. These compare favorably with my previous favorite sony in-ear buds (Sony MDR EX85LP/BLK)
Audio-pass-through in case you still want to use the 'phones or microphone without worrying about the battery being dead. To be clear, at that point the headphones are wired.
Crystal-clear stereo bluetooth.
Controls to allow you to accept/start/terminate calls, increase/decrease volume, and go forward/back.
Controls include a lockout in case you don't want something unexpected.
The devices is quite easy to pair, and (perhaps more importantly) it takes very little time to reconnect/connect to your bluetooth phone, etc.
The industrial-design on these is great-- every component is of good quality and looks good. As an example, there is a bead/ring on the headphone cables to allow you to keep the cords from tangling or to use for snugging the cables up under your chin (of you so choose).
The devices is relatively light, and I can wear it without using the clip (i.e. just supporting the weight of the electronics module from my ears), but I do prefer to use the clip on the back of the electronics module, especially if doing anything active.
Price. But it is worth it if you love to listen to music and have much of it on your phone.
A truly great product. I hope these guys get more publicity and take off-- I want to see more products from people as thoughtful as these...
